Cocoa Beach Pier

Established In 1962, the historic Cocoa Beach landmark stretches 800 feet in to the Atlantic Ocean. The Cocoa Beach Pier is located right on the beach there is so much to do here it could take you all day and well into the night if you choose. You can surf, go fishing, boating, swimming, play volleyball, shop, go to a restaurant or a bar or you can choose to do nothing but hang out and catch some rays.

Surfing

There are plenty of great waves off of Cocoa Beach and the water is so warm half of the year that you don't even need a wetsuit. There are designated areas for surfing because of the swimmers and you have to stay a certain distance from the pier but that doesn't stop the dozens of surfers you'll find in the water, especially during the summer, which lasts a good six months in Florida. The water's edge is great for skim boarding, gliding along the top of the shore water as it flows back into the ocean.

Fishing

Fishing at Cocoa Beach Pier can be great. In the fall and winter there's bluefish, spanish mackerel, and bottom fish such as croaker, whiting, sheepshead and drum. Spring and summer you can catch redfish, snook, snapper as well as other bottom fish. Rod and reel rentals are available and you don't even need a fishing license.

If you're more of a 'land lover' Cocoa Beach is a great place to just sit and soak up some rays, play volleyball or take a nice long stroll and enjoy the view. There are nets already set up and Seadogs, located at the end of Cocoa Beach Pier has all you'll need for a day at the beach. Whether its suntan lotion a boogie board or beach chair, Seadogs has you covered. They open daily at 9 AM.
