Bobcats, Gators and Dolphins - Oh My!
June 20th, 2007
In Florida wildlife encounters are easy to come by as there are many natural places available to the public where visitors may interact with both native and non-native species. However sometimes residents find alligators in their pool and rabid bobcats when you retrieve garbage cans.
In Cocoa a six foot gator was trapped after taking a swim in an apartment complex pool after getting past a chained link fence.
A rabid bobcat attacked Wesley Chapel resident Dale Rippy, a 62 year old Vietnam veteran, and not only did he stand his ground, he choked it to death.
And then there’s this story of a woman who was bit by a dolphin.
