Florida Wildlife Update 6/29; Gator bites golfer, dolphin rescued and bald eagle numbers grow
June 29th, 2007
In Venice Florida, a golfer came face to face with a hazard at the sixth hole of a Lake Venice Golf Course and was bitten on the left arm by an 11-foot gator.
Near Daytona Beach in Volusia County a dolphin was rescued by SeaWorld in Turnbull Bay.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will host a bald eagle draft management plan public workshop early next month as bald eagle numbers are improving and the FWC is considering removing them from the state endangered species list.
