2007 Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix Boat Race in Lido Key

June 30th, 2007

ResortQuest in Lido Key, FL  - On Sunday, July 1, 2007 come out and experience offshore powerboat racing on one of the most beautiful beaches in Southwest Florida. Spend the day on Lido Key Beach and experience the two heats at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. This year’s racecourse is approximately 6.5 miles from New Pass to Big Pass and will showcase some of the best offshore powerboat racing in the world.

If you can’t make it to Lido Beach, take a free bus ride from Ed Smith Stadium to Sarasota’s bayfront area, next to Centennial Park. Visitors to Powerboats by the Bay will have the opportunity to see a simulcast of the Grand Prix race and view the hot pit area (where the powerboats get placed in the water). Between heats, enjoy live entertainment, food and drinks. This year all proceeds from this weeklong event will benefit The Florida Center for Child and Family Development.

ResortQuest Southwest Florida offers hundreds of vacation home, condominiums and resort-style rentals in locations such as Bradenton, Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key. Accommodations are available for out-of-town visitors, conveniently located near the Jazz Festival. Each rental is fully furnished and vacation ready.
