Coquina’s Restaurant at the Crowne Plaza in Melbourne Beach; A Great Oceanfront Restaurant in Melbourne Beach
August 6th, 2007
Melbourne Beach, FL - I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon than sharing a tuna and mahi dinner with my honey on Melbourne Beach. Throw in a couple of fruity frozen rum concoctions and now you’ve got something memorable.
Last weekend we visited Coquina’s Restaurant at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Melbourne Beach which features both inside and outside dining. Coquina’s Restaurant also has a full liquor bar and drink specials.
The food was excellent, we had seared “Tuna Sashimi with Wakeme Seaweed” as an appetizer along with a “Bahama Mama” and a “Tropical Breeze”. For our main course we shared the “Mahi-Mahi with Key-Lime Beuree-Blanc Sauce” and an “Ahi Tuna Candy Bar”. Both were absolutely delicious and looked as good as they tasted. Our only displeasure was at the service which totally sucked considering such a great dining experience, and we’re pretty easy to please.

The Crowne Plaza has banquet and meeting facilities and is also great for weddings. If fact a couple were getting married while we were there and went to the beach for photos, it was pretty amusing watching the bride navigate the beach sand but she kept her humor as she was all smiles, so was the groom.
The Crowne Plaza is the former Holiday Inn Oceanside which was all but destroyed by Hurricanes Jeanne and Francis. The Crowne Plaza has been recently renovated and we were impressed by its appearance and cleanliness.
Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront Resort and Spa is located at 2605 North Highway A1A, Indialantic (Melbourne), Florida 32903.
