ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival in Jupiter Feb 16-18

Jupiter, FL - Florida’s premiere fine arts festival, the 2008 ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival produced by The North Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and presented by Abacoa Town Center, will be held February 16, 17, and 18, 2008 at Abacoa in Jupiter.
The outdoor arts event showcases a juried exhibition of outstanding fine art and crafts along with activities which include live entertainment, artist demonstrations, children’s interactive art activities, celebrity art doodles, Youth Art Competition Gallery, Tiny Treasures Children’s Art Boutique, wine tasting and the opportunity to meet more than 250 of the top artists from around the world. Listed as one of the top 50 festivals in the country, ArtiGras 2008 expects more than 150,000 guests over the three-day period.
Highlights of the upcoming festival include the Fine Arts Area, which will feature gallery quality work of 250 fine artists exhibiting a variety of talent and diversity of styles, including, glass, photography, jewelry, painting, sculpture, wood, fiber, mixed media, ceramic and drawing. Winners of the juried exhibition will receive $22,000 in prize money.
The festival’s popular Garden Art Area features fine craft items for the home, garden and children. Guests will also have the opportunity to see artists demonstrating their outstanding skills at the Artist Demonstration Stage.
Young artists are highlighted at ArtiGras with interactive art activities in partnership with local art organizations in the ArtiKids Area. Outstanding local youth artists from area schools will be exhibited in the Youth Art Competition Gallery. Tiny Treasure’s Children’s Art Boutique is a “kids-only” area where children make their own fine art purchases from work donated by the exhibiting artists.
The Celebrity Art Auction features art, photos and objects created by famous personalities such as Bob Barker, Richard Petty, Donald Trump and Dustin Hoffman, with proceeds benefiting the Quantum House.
ArtiGras is located at Abacoa, Central Boulevard in Jupiter, Florida. Festival hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, February 16; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 17; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008. ArtiGras Patron Society members will enjoy a special VIP private art preview with champagne on Saturday, February 16 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Admission to this special event includes the Private Art Preview, champagne reception, ArtiGras collectible beads, admission to ArtiGras for all three days and exclusive invitations throughout the year. Patron Society memberships are available for sale throughout the year through the North Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce.
