Easter Surfing Festival 2008 Photos

Cocoa Beach, FL - Early Saturday morning on the south side of the Cocoa Beach Pier I photographed the Lost Beverage Men’s $5,000 Short Board Open and the Ron Jon Easter Bunny Skim Bash. It was early and the sun was low and shining right in my face but it was the only chance I had to get photos of the Cocoa Beach surfing and skim board contest.
Luckily I was able to use the pier to shoot down the beach. The Surfing Contest was taking place right next to the pier with four surfers competing per heat.
Further down the beach skim borders were warming up for the Skim Bash.
A nice swell going off closer to the pier and the competitors were ripping it up.
The conditions were also good for skim boarding.
