Two Weekend Wine Festivals Bring Good Cheer to North Florida

North Florida - Two Florida Wine Festivals are scheduled for this weekend. The Florida Wine Festival will take place in Tallahassee on April 10 - 12 and The Sandestin Wine Festival in Destin runs from April 10 - 13.
Florida Wine Festival
The three day Tallahassee, Florida Wine Festival starts with a “Viva Las Brogan” reception on Thursday, 7p.m.-10p.m., offers you catering from six local restaurants, a sampling of over 50 varieties of wine, a tribute to Elvis, silent auction, free Bacardi Bar and Vegas style gambling, you even have a shot at winning a real diamond. On Friday, four local restaurants are participating to offer 4 to 5 course meals, each paired with the perfect wine and a commemorative glass. From 12 p.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday, a free Community Festival will be held. Eight different Florida wineries will be offering samples with a chance to purchase a case of your favorite. There will be a celebrity wine stomping competition, music and dance by local performers and the FAMU Marching 100’s. Sandestin Wine Festival
The 22nd Annual Sandestin Wine Festival at Baytowne Wharf in Destin, features The Grand Wine Tasting events, April 12 & 13 and Feature over 600 wines both domestic and international from over 80 wineries around the world. There is also a private wine tasting Friday evening with the purchase of certain package deals. The Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort also offers an accommodation package: Your choice of one or two day ticket deals including a Tasters Guide to the wine sampling, a commemorative glass, retail wine tent discounts and this includes that private wine tasting on Friday night and of course admission to the Grand Wine Tasting Saturday and Sunday.
