Everyone can be German during Oktoberfest in Florida

By October the weather finally starts to cool, especially at night, it’s the perfect time for county fairs and festivals. One of the favorites is Oktoberfest, Florida loves Oktoberfest as much as Florida loves beer and great German food. Floridians also love a party and there are many taking place, besides the oompah version of “Margaritaville” is not to be missed.
Oktoberfest is a celebration of beer and food, though the history of Oktoberfest began with the marriage of Prince Ludwig and his bride Therese of Bavaria October 12, 1810. To honor the marriage a parade took place for the first time in 1835. Oktoberfest is now known as the Largest People’s Fair in the World.
Florida Oktoberfest 2008
Melbourne Oktoberfest runs October 16-19 at the Wickham Park Pavilion in Melbourne. The festival will include traditional German food, imported German beers, German music, dancing, entertainment. Wickham Park Pavilion is located at 3845 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL.
Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach runs October 16-18 and is one of the largest celebrations in Florida.
