Florida Keys — From beachside fireworks to wacky takeoffs on the traditional ball drop in New York’s Times Square, the Florida Keys offer visitors a wealth of ways to welcome 2008. And because “winter” in the subtropical island chain means balmy breezes rather than blizzards, revelers can leave overcoats and boots behind as they head out to celebrate dressed in shirtsleeves, shorts and sandals.

In the past three weeks, traffic to PlacesAroundFlorida.com from the United Kingdom has roughly doubled. While many have been writing of the negative aspects of the recent US Dollar falling in value, it’s great that many of those British Travelers are enjoying the Florida Holidays and adding revenue to our communities.
While doing a little research, I found that On The Beach Holidays is offering great deals on travel packages from the UK. On The Beach Holidays has one of the most complete travel booking services I’ve seen, and they’ve been around since 1995. They offer Florida holiday travel to beaches all over the world including Dubai, Spain, Cypress and other popular locations.
I compared their Miami holidays and they were very competitive, complete with hotels and air fair included. They offer insurance, car hires, currency services and have excellent online customer service.

You don’t need to fly to Munich to enjoy Oktoberfest in Florida, Florida loves Oktoberfest as much as Florida loves beer and great German food. Floridians also love a party and there are many taking place.
Oktoberfest is a celebration of beer and food, though the history of Oktoberfest began with the marriage of Prince Ludwig and his bride Therese of Bavaria October 12, 1810. To honor the marriage a parade took place for the first time in 1835. Oktoberfest is now known as the Largest People’s Fair in the World.

Miami, FL - The Florida real estate market is currently going through some corrections and while many may disagree on the reason, many cite rising property taxes and insurance rates. Recently I stumbled across a blog that offers excellent information on Florida’s market and the effect that property taxes and insurance are having, it’s ran by Miami real estate professional Robert Brutus.
In a recent phone interview Robert told me he believes Florida’s market will continue to experience some difficulties but that as tax and insurance issues improve, so will the market. I also learned from Robert that the median home price in his area is 320K and one of the best things about living in Metro Miami is that your backyard is a playground.
Robert is an experienced real estate professional serving the Metro Dade real estate market including Kendall, Meadow Bay, Pinecrest, and Coral Gables areas. Many of his clients are professionals in their 40s. Robert speaks Espanol and does his best to understand the housing and financial needs and goals of his clients, not only through real estate investments but through other ways as well.
