Aquatica Water Park

Beach at Aquatica

Aquatica the South Seas-inspired waterpark features attractions from serene to extreme. Aquatica joins sister parks SeaWorld and Discovery Cove to create a trio of immersive marine life adventures found nowhere else in the world.

Setting foot into Aquatica, guests immediately experience the vastness of nearly 60 acres of lush landscape inspired by the vivid color, stunning flora and carefree personality of the South Sea Islands. Reminiscent of the rugged beauty of New Zealand, Australia and New Guinea, the landscape of Aquatica is striking. Crystal-blue rivers wind through hidden grottos and refreshing waterfalls, while rich greenery and bright flowers adorn towering rock formations.

Aquatica features the most thrilling water rides in the world with 36 water slides, six rivers and lagoons, and more than 80,000 square feet of beach area. Designed in a way that could only be done by SeaWorld, these distinct attractions will zoom, float and splash guests through amazing animal habitats and undersea adventures.

Aquatica Rides and Slides

Dolphin Plunge

Dolphin Plunge - Aquatica's signature attraction plunges riders 250 feet in clear tubes through a crystal-blue lagoon with black-and-white Commerson's dolphins. Guests feel as if they are flying beneath the sea among these beautiful animals. While similar in coloration to SeaWorld's icon, Shamu, these dolphins are also distinctly different. In addition to being much smaller, they are also fast, agile swimmers - making them the perfect inhabitants for this lively park.

Big Surf Shores - Cutback Cove

Big Surf Shores & Cutback Cove - Guests can catch a wave in the world's only side-by-side wave pools capable of operating together or independently. Filled with a combined 860,000 gallons of water, these enormous wave pools deliver very different experiences. Cutback Cove produces crashing waves with 5-foot swells while Big Surf Shores creates gently-rolling surf.

Loggerhead Lane

Loggerhead Lane - For a slower pace, this lazy river floats guests through a spectacular underwater view of the Commerson's dolphins, past exotic birds and through a beautiful 10,000-gallon habitat of thousands of exotic fish.

Taumata Racer

Taumata Racer - For those who prefer life in the fast lane, Taumata Racer speeds riders down a 300-foot slide, in and out of tunnels and around a 360-degree turn before racing them across the finish line.

Walkabout Waters

Walkabout Waters - Splash! This interactive water playground is one of the world's largest, boasting 15,000 square feet of pure water excitement. This 60-foot-tall colorful water adventure is the perfect playground for kids to zip down slides and blast water cannons.

Tassie Twister

Tassie Twister - Adventurous rafters delight in the twirling sensations of this ride as they spin and splash through a tunnel and into a sparkling pool below. The 129- foot flume takes single or double inner tubes into a super bowl, spins riders around and drops them into Loggerhead Lane.

Animals at Aquatica

Aquatica is home to an assortment of intriguing animals, from Commerson's dolphins and giant anteaters to brilliant birds and exotic fish. The first-of-its-kind waterpark showcases these amazing animals in a most playful and extraordinary setting.

Commerson's Dolphin

Commerson's dolphins are Aquatica's most distinctive inhabitants, Commerson's dolphins are agile swimmers that average about 5 feet in length and weigh about 100 pounds. These diminutive dolphins are indigenous to South America, the Straits of Magellan, the Falkland Islands and the Kerguelen Islands in the southern Indian Ocean. Aquatica is home to the only Commerson's dolphins in the Southeastern United States.

Commerson's dolphins have distinctive black-and-white coloration, similar to a familiar relative of theirs - the killer whale. These small, swift dolphins often swim upside down - and can even feed in this position. Quick and playful, these animals bring Aquatica's fun, carefree personality to life.

Kids playing with a Macaw

Macaws are large, brilliantly-colored parrots native to the rainforests of Central and South America. These social birds nest in tree hollows or on the sides of cliffs. Monogamous by nature, macaw pairs often fly side-by-side within a large flock.

Aquatica's fun, carefree nature invites guests to play with the sea, but throughout their day, they'll encounter many animals that make their home on land. Guests will delight at special moments when they meet an giant anteater, or hear a kookaburra "laugh" out loud. The Sulcata tortoise is one of the largest species of tortoise, and can weigh anywhere from 100 to 200 pounds and reach 2 1/2 feet in length, plus many more amimals you'd never expect at a water park.

Families Visiting Aquatica

Even the littlest swimmers will enjoy one-of-a-kind attractions at Aquatica. Walkabout Waters, one of the world's largest interactive water play areas includes a colorful rain fortress that towers 60 feet above a 15,000-square-foot pool. The entire family can zoom together on slides and blast water cannons. In a separate children's pool, even those Aquatica guests not old enough to walk can still slide down tubes with Mom and Dad in specially built rafts.

Plenty of wide, sand beaches, refreshing lagoons and cool shade from towering oaks and exotic trees create the ultimate water park for guest comfort. Personal cabanas dot the shoreline for those who desire a private retreat. The entire park is designed to limit wait times and provide easy access to rides, attractions and even restaurants. Those who don't want to leave the comfort of their lounge chair can even enjoy beachside waiter service. All of this allows more time for carefree family fun.

Winding rivers throughout Aquatica also offer two different journeys from serene to extreme. One river carries guests through gentle waterfalls, past exotic birds and into an undersea grotto with thousands of colorful fish. An adjacent river offers pure thrill, jetting riders through rolling rapids, rushing geysers and racing waters. Colorful eight-lane racing slides, triple-drop raft rides, double inner tubes, and a 6-story family ride round out the mix of thrills.

Dining at Aquatica

All of Aquatica's restaurants offer comfortable seating and indoor queues. For additional treats, Aquatica has six food carts located throughout the park.

Waterstone Grill is a two-line restaurant serving an assortment of sandwiches and salads, desserts and drinks.
