We golfed this morning and the course is in awesome shape! Great layout!! George at the pro shop is very friendly and gave us all of the low down on the course. The bag guys outside were also very friendly and helpful. We WILL be back!!!! Great job management and staff!!!! I love to golf these hidden gems that also have a great price!!!

Bad shape for this course is still better than good shape for a lot of other places and I’ve never seen Ventura in “bad” shape. I’ve been playing here since the 90’s and it’s been nearly picture perfect, even after nasty hurricanes hit the area. I’ve never had a negative experience here, eventho being paired with a few people who were having a bad round. The beauty of this course, to me, makes it impossible to have anything less than an enjoyable time. I always recommend Ventura when asked about great courses in the Orlando area.

“The Vent” was a very nice and enjoyable course given the size of the community it was part of and a good value for the price.

I found the fairways and greens to be in good shape, although everything was pretty firm – but that could have been because there has not been a lot of rain lately.

There are a lot of elevated greens and several hidden holes, so bring your short game. Also, almost every hole has water on one side or another, but usually allows for error to the opposite side, so is a very manageable course for high handicappers.

My only complaint would be the pace of play or, really, lack of any course ranger. My tee time was at 4:10 p.m. and the next group teed off immediately after me even though their tee time wasn’t for another 10 minutes. And the group behind them did the same. It made the whole course very busy and backed up.

Played a morning 18 hole round on a Friday. Pace of play was great with finishing in 3 hours. Fairways and greens were absolutely immaculate. Challenging but fun course, will definitely be back!

The dress code is not listed on the website or under booking information. When we got there after checking in I was told I didn’t meat their dress code for women which is collared shirts (you would only know this if you called the pro shop to ask) and was forced to buy a shirt from the pro shop in order to tee off. Upon tee off we also realized the double booked and had 8 people teeing off at the same time. Doesn’t seem like they have their priorities in order here. The pro shop was very belittling to me, rude, and had a misogynist attitude during the transaction. Asking if my finance told me I could wear this attire and asking if I needed him to pay for the shirt. There were men on the course in tee shirts and cargo shorts during our tee time. After our round we went in to explain how this made me feel and that there was no dress code online. It didn’t matter to the pro shop. I wouldn’t recommend this course to women golfers.
