I wish I could give 20 stars for this awesome experience!!! The building itself is perfect for housing this huge amazing artistic vision!!! The staircase is gorgeous and the views are magnificent! There is a little cafe to buy drinks and food and there are outside tables as well. You are surrounded by the huge personality of this utter icon of artistic vision and surrealist art. There is a movie that runs on a loop explaining the art movement and a separate 360 art experience that tells about his personal and artistic journey. His paintings and photos are amazing and his humour is endless what an absolutely incredible place!!!!! Fabulous, great docents and great gift shop!!! We loved every single moment!!
Fantastic building, awesome art exhibits, and engaging interactive guest experiences! Loved the incorporation of AI to create high tech interactive experiences for guests. After Hearing his story at Dali 360 show, I think it most appropriate and that he would likely approve. The building itself even seemed to be designed to be reflective of his philosophies. Very interesting exhibits and fascinating tour by docents to explore the many elements incorporated into a Dali painting. Well worth a visit!
The Dali museum is a wonderful experience every time I go. It’s so nice how close you can get to some of the works, especially the smaller scale paintings and really appreciate the finer details. The gallery has a very nice flow taking you through his beginnings as an impressionist through his evolution into the surreal. It us also nice how they rotate the collections on the second half of the museum. I would strongly suggest not skipping the garden before you leave, located on the ground floor, outside, through the Cafe. It is definitely a must part of the experience.
Purchased tickets in line. Arrived at 10am and went to Dali 360 at 10:30. It’s a 40 min experience and for our family not that great. (5 adults, 2 preteen). The section of the museum with surreal photography was not my favorite but the actual paintings are so interesting. Hard to describe but there are docents and I’d recommend going with them. The outdoor area is nice. The cafe is really very good.
We went to the Dali Dome for the Pink Floyd light show event- it was awesome! Small/uncrowded venue and amazing show! Super reasonable ticket prices, it was a beautiful evening out! They have a restaurant on the grounds but we didn’t try it (had already eaten by St Pete pier earlier) Clean restrooms on the premises. We made it a day by going much earlier and walking around the St Pete pier, local mini parks and the marina and then walking to the museum. The Dali has parking available (I think was $10, but we parked in a nearby lot on 1st St/Bay Shore Dr since we were spending the day in the area) Great day out!
