This is a great college that offers amazing staff and support for students! It expands your creative personality and allows your freedoms of activism! I learned so much about myself at this school.
I am an alumni now but remembered there were safety issues at parties. I hope they have improved on this, as I recall a few years back, I read in our alumni newsletter about a public apology, and attempts to resolve this danger.
Love this place! Don’t let the shoeless narps get your hopes ups, because when you turn the corner the private roads turn into a college paradise getaway that fits everyone’s needs. Eckerd Collage is one of the nicest campuses I’ve visited in North America. With transportation options, student life, outdoor classrooms, and views that make you feel like you are on vacation, this college is always a fun time. It would have been five stars but considering I can find better food at the Sunoco down the street, I’m gonna keep it a 4. Great place #keepeckerdweird
There are paid Eckert school students on the Skyway pier who are supposed to be bird rescuers, instead they are harassing, abusing, and stalking Friends of the Pelicans, a volunteer group who has rescued thousands of birds!!
I graduated from Eckerd in 2010, and ever since have remained close to the school and the city of St. Petersburg. They say college should be the best 4 years of your life, and Eckerd delivered. The professors are more like family and only want to see you succeed, the campus is gorgeous, friendly, and lively. The liberal arts education allows you to explore any avenue of education you want. My marine science degree has allowed me to continue working and thriving in my field – thanks to a strong foundational education. No wonder Eckerd College was named a ‘College That Changes Lives.’
