Countryside, along with International, are the nest malls in Tampa. Very few stores are closed/ vacant, a nice variety of stores and restaurants, and the movie theater looks great (I haven’t been there). There is an ice skating rink in the middle of Countrysid as well, which is a nice and unique feature. Great location as well. Major stores and restaurants: Dillards, JCPenney, Macy’s, BJs, Bacon Street Diner, PF Changs. There is also a Whole Foods attached to the mall, but is not accessible from the mall.
This was a fun shopping center. The facilities and selection of stores for gifts were all nice, clean, well staffed, and plentiful. The holiday decorations were pretty and the skating rink and movie theater were both a big draw.
Countryside is just your average mall. It’s clean, has plenty of dining options and parking, and is somewhere between Tyrone Mall and Tampa International Mall in terms of both size and liveliness. I feel like they could really make Countryside a great place if they replaced the useless, dying department stores like Dillard’s or Macy’s with places people actually liked to shop and eat at. I can not remember the last time I met someone who actually still shops at any department store other than Target.
Good variety of stores in the mall. The mall had an indoor ice rink with ice skate rental. Small food court. A shoe store with very pricey shoes. Rc store with a good variety of remote controlled cars and boats.
