I had an amazing experience with the Member Relationship Office that assisted me named Jessica. From the moment I walked in the branch she courteously greeted me, was very friendly, and welcoming. She went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed and answered all of my questions with patience. It’s rare to find such genuine, attentive service nowadays, and I truly appreciated how Jessica made me feel valued. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending her to everyone I know.
I had a auto loan and savings account with this bank. I traded in my vehicle so the auto loan was paid in full. All that remained was a savings account. I then cancelled my GAP coverage through the car dealership who advised me that they sent the check to GTE bank. GTE deposited the funds in the savings account. I attempted to transfer the whole amount as I didn’t need the account anymore. I did this online and it advised that there would be a $2.00 fee. I believed that they would have deducted the $2.00 from the amount I was transferring. Instead, they charged me an overdraft fee of over $40. I advised the teller at this location that had I known I would have only requested the amount minus the $2.00 fee. I also stated to him that it did not state anywhere during the transfer online that if the whole amount is requested there would be an overdraft charge. There should be a warning or advisement on their website during the transfer process that tells people these things. He asked his supervisor for an acception, but it was denied. This is not how business should be conducted. No warning notices just to take people’s money. DON’T BANK HERE!
I discovered last evening that checks I didn’t recognize past through my account. It was after hours so I used my mobile app to connect with GTE and setup an appointment to come in today (12/11/2024). I couldn’t even sleep last night because I felt violated and trust was gone. I thank the Lord that when I went to my credit union I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Tricia Coleman. As I told her my issue she immediately went to work. Ms. Coleman explained what she needed to in order to get the correct information to the fraud department. Ms. Coleman helped me with a new account and a new debit card. Her professionalism, and her knowledge put my mind at ease. I walked out of GTE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION feeling like the institution that I’ve been affiliated with for over 30 years gave me a peace of mind and renewed confidence that I can still trust my banking institution. Thank you Ms. Tricia Coleman, God bless, and I pray someone makes your day as beautiful as you made mine.
Kenricia and Amber have the team running super efficiently! Everyone is so friendly between Jessica, Jose and Tricia my needs are always taken care of there is never a time that I don’t feel valued at this branch by far the best in the state!!! Don’t walk run to this credit union and branch!!! Long time Gte member since 19’ never a problem!
I came in to just open a new bank account. Clean and well placed facility. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by the black lady at the computer by the door. Please forgive me as I have forgotten names but the manager(black woman, beautiful Caribbean woman) was very thorough and friendly. I had a wonderful conversation the entire time I was with her. Very simple process and easy. I definitely recommend this location for any in person needs.
