My wife went into the hospital with symptoms of a stroke. After assessing her, they took her directly for a CT scan. She was given a new medicine to dissolve the clot in her brain. It dissolved totally in four hours, and she was back to normal, they watched her for two days in the critical care unit 24/7. On the third day, she received an MRI which showed the clot was gone and was able to go home that day.
The nurses and doctors and the medicine are a contributing factor of her getting back to normal.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this great outcome. I highly recommend this hospital.
A nightmare. Do NOT go here. Most of the nurses are nice. Most personnel were very nice. There is no communication! You just sit and wait. I had to bring my husband soap, tooth paste and brush. The surgeon could not get a hold of the infectious diseases mystery doctor. Diagnosis was changing, surgery cancelled and rescheduled. After my husband’s quick surgery, he had not eaten in 24 hrs. I got food from the cafeteria. He was not offered a crumb. You had to ask for everything. even water. No privacy! I heard each roommates very private issues and saw more personal things than I can believe. I saw their bodies. omg.
He was given a foot boot to go home. It did not fit! We had to order one from Amazon. They did not have his size. WOUND CARE FOR HOME WAS TO CALL YESTERDAY. WE ARE STILL WAITING.
Excellence experience taking my dad to be checked out. The staff was professional and very courteous and attentive. Check in was quick and simple. They made us feel important. Dr. Was understanding of his symptoms and ran tests accordingly and was thorough in diagnosing his situation. Great medical care for the community! Im glad we have a Hospital that cares! Well Done!
One star is one to many. Went to there er tonight with a pain level of 9 they put iv in right away nurse was great. Then got sent to waiting room in horrible pain where i was left for way over 2 hours in spite ⁹of there only being 2 other people in waiting room and only one of them was a patient. Went for a ct scan before even getting anything for the pain that was a joy. Finally got morphine which made it more be bearable maybe 7 out of 10. Layed there for an hour pa came in said something about liver results being high really not sure what was said being as i,m practically deaf and 70 years old and she was mumbling thru a mask. Next thing i know there handing me discharge papers that were actually another patient named michael with all his info on them. I explained to the nurse that wasn,t me she left to get the pa the bp monitor starts going off my bp is 239 over 132 and an alarm is ringing pa comes in and i said your sending me home with bp thst high and an out of control pain level. I was told we don,t reslly pay much attention to bp anymore in the health care profession. She never even asked if i felt well enough to go home nerver asked my pain level and had a horrible attitude. I left there with a lump where the iv was and blood dripping down my arm in just as much pain as when i went in feeling lucky to have gotten out of there alive. I hope that anyone who needs to go to the hospital is lucky enough to get a better care provider then i got tonight. Just want to add this was my 4 er visit in 6 weeks had to have 2 stents put in then a 2nd cath procedure after passing out hitting my head and knocking out a tooth and am waiting on surgury to repair damage to my eyes done when i passed out. This place is a disgrace to the medical profrssion. Finally the pa agreed to keep mr till bp went down gave me bp meds in the iv an hour later i was sent home she never even had the guts to come back in the room to ask about any improvement just sent the nurse to remove the iv.. needless to say i,m going to go else where and hopefully get treated for whats going on and tell everyone about this horrible experience at northbay hospital.
I was very frustrated when we first entered the emergency room, because no one was in a hurry to see us even though my husband was having excruciating chest pain. But once he was brought back, everyone jumped into action and you saved my husband’s life and I am forever grateful. The doctors, the nurses, everyone was great. The ER doctor was so compassionate. He made sure I could say goodbye before he was wheeled away.
