I have been to Bay Care Hospital Emergency Dept. Wesley Chapel twice in the past month. From the time we walked in we received immediate attention. The Doctors, Nurses and Staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. They quickly ordered the necessary test and kept me updated on the results. I was kept overnight for observation and additional testing. This was a very positive experience, as I received excellent care from the nurses, doctors and hospital staff. The hospital is exceptionally clean and the food is wonderful. Thank you for being so caring.
Cody and the rest of the nurses that I encountered in the ER were super great. They were very attentive and did a really good job at answering any questions I had, and making me feel comfortable. Not the nurses fault at all, but it would be great if the hospital could find a way to not have to board so many patients in the ER as it does delay the time that patients get seen, as well as take up valuable time for the ER nurses who are more used to treating patients acutely. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend sending any adult family members or friends there.
Today my wife and I decided to visit the new BayCare Hospital in Wesley Chapel. We had an amazing and incredible welcome by Julian G the front desk. Our goal was to get some information to know and learn about the hospital. We were super impressed with the quality, the service, the staff and overall the positive experience that Julian presented to us. We are glad to stopped by that way if we need anything in the future, for sure we will go there.
I would like to thank Julian for his warm, friendly and helpful service that he gave to us today.
I took my sick 2,5 yo daughter to this Baycare ER on December 3 in a bad condition. She was tested positive with rhino and RSV viruses prior to our visit so I knew she had them. She got very lethargic, she stopped eating anything in the past 2 days prior to our visit. She couldn’t get up from bed, she had a terrible scary cough that she was throwing up from so I was concerned that it can develop into pneumonia (and I hear now a lot of kids who are sick with this virus they have pneumonia). She was breathing with her stomach already and was wheezing a lot. So a PA came (Andrea if I’m not wrong), I told her all my concerns a few times and all she said was that everything looked normal and this is how it’s supposed to be! That I have to wait until this virus will go away! Then the doctor came some young guy and told me same thing. The only thing they offered me to do was some breathing treatment through a nebulizer for 20 min. After they all left and the treatment was over, I waited for 10-15 min more in a room with a sick lethargic child. nobody came, nobody cared. And it was a deep night around 1 am. Finally I gave up waiting, I got out of the room just to see if anyone was there. The PA was sitting relaxed in a chair in an open space room with no lights, probably napping. Everyone else who was there looked same relaxed. So I left the hospital with no records or papers of our visit, with no one coming after the procedure was over. Even when you go to Publix their employees give you more attention than the doctors in this ER! I LEFT WITH THE FEELING THIS VISIT WAS USELESS HAVING EVEN MORE ANXIETY AND WORRY FOR MY BABY. the next morning my daughter woke up with the worse terrible non stop cough, her lips and tongue were blue, she was wheezing A LOT MORE than a previous day and she was much more lethargic, didn’t even open her eyes as she had no energy and power. She stopped peeing for almost a day! Her lips were very dry and bleeding from dryness. One of my friends asked her friend who is a doctor in Lakeland hospital about all the symptoms my daughter had and he said to bring her urgently to the hospital. They took all the necessary measures right away and put my daughter under IV for almost a day as she was very dehydrated and her electrolytes dropped significantly. I don’t know what could have happened if I stopped looking for help and just listened to these horrible doctors! You are there to help people especially when it comes to a little child. Your ignorance and indifference can cost lives to people who need your help! My questions is- what did you charge insurance company for exactly in our situation? And The copay itself cost $150.
And another question is- how did you get this high rating? I’m sure it’s not real reviews.
I was admitted over the weekend while traveling back to Florida. My care here was impeccable from the moment I arrived in my ER bed, until the moment I was discharged from the actual floor. The PA (and nurses) in the ER was so compassionate and attentive; then Dr. Ahmed took amazing care of me on the actual floor. All my nurses, and the respiratory team were fantastic. They work really well as a team and addressed all my concerns timely. I met both charge nurses who checked on me periodically, and even got to shower once I was admittes on the floor!
I don’t have enough good things to say about my short 2 day stay with them. I highly recommend this hospital for future care.
