This place has been on my list to try for a few months and I’m so glad I finally did. The menu is massive and full of so many things my boyfriend and I wanted to try. We ordered Ma Po Tofu, Cumin Beef Noodles, Spicy Cold Noodles, and the Secret Sour Beef Soup.
Let me tell you, definitely one of the best Ma Po tofu’s I’ve ever had, super flavorful and perfect numbing Szechuan spice level. The beef in both the cumin and soup dishes was so tender and everything just tasted so fresh. I’m now addicted to the cold noodles as well, they’re perfectly sesame forward and had a refreshing vinegar-y zing. We also got a couple iced teas (also delicious).
I’m equally impressed with the service we were provided. All the ladies were extremely kind and helpful. And I was so surprised when they brought us fresh complimentary dragon fruit after our meal.
Overall, this place is a new favorite for me and it’s crazy to me that we were the only ones dining. Will definitely be frequenting in the future.
The dishes we ordered at Yummy Taste were amazing. They are a very unique restaurant even compared with the ones I’ve been to in NYC. The portion size was great. Nothing was too oily or too spicy. The spicy chicken dish had delicious seasoning. The fish filets were very moist on top of a bed of soft tofu. The herbs were fresh. The owner was very friendly. We enjoyed our meal and company in a peaceful Sunday afternoon. There was no rush to get in or out. The atmosphere was relaxing. I am very impressed and would definitely recommend this place.
The place gets points for having lots of authentic Szechuan items. It has a first-generation-ex-pat feel. Weird how menu translation mishaps add to the authenticity, in my mind. Admittedly, didn’t get a chance to wade too deeply into the menu, but the ribs were excellent, perfectly tender, and sweet. The pork and peppers was good but will explore other offerings next visit.
This is the most authentic Shichuan style Chinese food we’ve ever had in USA so far. Their menu separated itself from other restaurants which attracted us. We walked in after 8:30pm during weekday and there were no customer, thought the food may not be as good, however, to our surprise, the food we ordered way better than our expectation. The taste is authentic and the portion is very generous, more than enough, thought we won’t be able to finish them! We ordered the Secret Sour Soup Fish and the Boiled Beef Pot (photo shows we were half way done, it was too good and forgot to take photos before we touch them). We end up finish them all. The value of the food is much more than other restaurants we have ever been. The owner were very friendly and offered oranges after meal. Very Happy Dinner! We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.
