Affordable Solar Roof & Air

I had a solar system installed by Affordable Solar and Roof, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. I encountered two significant issues that speak to both service quality and follow-through on promises made during the sales process.

First, my solar system lost connection to the app, which I depend on to monitor my energy usage. After trying various troubleshooting steps without success, I contacted Affordable Solar and Roof, only to be told there would be a $250 service fee to check the system. This was never mentioned during the sales process—in fact, I was assured that support would be available at no cost if any issues arose.

The second issue started during installation. One of the installers accidentally stepped on an unsupported area in the attic, which caused significant damage, leaving a hole in my ceiling and scattering insulation throughout my home. I understand that mistakes happen and didn’t have a problem with this part; however, the way the repair was handled left much to be desired. I contacted Guy from the company, who sent someone a few days later to fix it. However, I had to spend $300 on immediate cleanup since the scattered insulation was reportedly chemical-based and challenging to remove.

While the contractor repaired the ceiling and reinstalled the light fixture, he refused to paint the patch, leaving an unfinished look. Worse yet, when I recently changed out my lighting fixtures, I discovered that the ceiling hole was only partially patched and had been hidden behind the light fixture—an incomplete and unprofessional repair.

I initially held off on posting a review, hoping the issues would be addressed, but after repeated disappointments, I feel obligated to share my experience. I trusted Affordable Solar and Roof based on promises of quality service and reliable support. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from that, and I would advise potential customers to proceed with caution

Went with affordable solar because my neighbor down the street used them and recommended them as he had a good experience with them. I had the pleasure of working with Peter, he did a good job sainting contact with me and giving me all the updates. The process was just under 2 months I couldn’t believe how quick it went from contract signed to panels running and producing very impressed there. The price was very reasonable and the system size seems to be on point for what I need. For my first time going solar I’m happy with how it turned out and will be recommending affordable as well.
