I recently visited Beijing House and tried a variety of dishes. The honey chicken, beef burrito, and buffalo chicken roll were all standout items. Each had great flavor and was perfectly cooked. However, the mango tea didn’t quite live up to expectations. The mango flavor was faint and had an artificial taste. On the positive side, the customer service was excellent. The staff was polite, attentive, and made sure everything was going well throughout the meal. Overall, I’d recommend the food, but I’d skip the mango tea next time.
Found this place through social media & decided to give it a try. Spent about $90 trying lots of items on the menu. Absolutely disappointed. Eggplant was extremely greasy. Rice didn’t taste right either, not sure how they messed up white rice. Sauce amount for steamed dumplings must have been low because the sauce cup was barely filled. Food lacked flavor! Extremely disappointed, I will not not be returning & definitely wouldn’t recommend. If you must try, only get the spicy wonton. That’s the only thing that had some flavor.
Probably will return.
We passed by this place a few times and did take out today after our lunch at Flaming Mountain.
Good decor, service and food. We ordered
1. string beans
2. pork knuckles
3. lamb stew
Meats are tender but string beans are over cooked, too soft.
There are a quite few restaurants at this strip, mostly Asian plus the Florida west coast Chinese chamber of commerce, on the 2nd floor.
The CCC has just opened recently (1 to 2 years). The previous owner of the stripe was a Chinese who allowed up to three Chinese restaurants to open here.
Beijing House Is much like the spicy dumplings they serve. On the outside it’s sort of plain, low-key, nothing fancy. And then you bite into one of these dumplings in the spicy chili oil and flavor just explodes in your mouth and you’re like Oh-my-god-where- has- this-been- all-my-life?!! That’s exactly how Beijing House is! Outside it’s plain, walk inside and it’s beautiful, It has amazing food, amazing service, its like nothing you’ve ever had before! (At least it was for me).
Must try items:
1. Peach tea w/ crema
2. Chrysanthemum hot tea
3. Hot Saki
4. DUMPLINGS IN CHILI OIL***
5. Green tea smoked duck
6. ANY GRIDDLE
7. Garlic ginger noodles (vegetarian)
I don’t know why some of their dishes are called griddles because there’s nothing at all to do with a griddle. But instead its served in a hot pot over a flame and it’s very eye appealing as well as delicious. They serve fresh Lotus root in the mix of veggies, which is crunchy and delicious. If you’ve never had it, it is very visually appealing.
During the early part of the week, there is very little wait, even at peak times, and they do a really solid “to go” business. I hope you go and I hope you have a five-star experience too!
