As a therapist in Tampa, I have continued to refer clients to Dr. Toufexis and her team because they provide the best psychiatric care! It is difficult to find a psychiatrist who is so knowledgable in OCD and anxiety disorders in both children and adults. Feedback from clients is always positive. Allison Kennel-Besselieu is also very kind and amazing with children. I have recommended these providers to family members. I cannot recommend this practice enough!
We have been working with Allison Kennel-Besselieu this year, and her care has impacted our entire family is the most positive way! Allison takes the time to really understand the concerns we are having with my daughter and offers solutions that we are comfortable pursuing as a family. The office is attentive and responsive even when I send a message after hours. I feel supported by their care and am so grateful we found this office.
Dr. Toufexis is one of best, if not THE best, physician I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is warm, kind, empathetic, compassionate, and dedicated to her patients. When I talk with her, I feel seen, heard, and cared for. Most doctors in psychiatry treat you like a number, unlike Dr. T., who makes sure she knows you’re more than a file.
The office itself is a true reflection of leadership. All of her employees are absolutely fantastic to work with. There are quick turnaround times on questions and documents when needed. I would highly recommend Dr. Toufexis for any of your psychiatric care needs. I’ve been a patient for roughly 2 or 3 years, and I wish that I had met her sooner.
I have been a patient of Dr. Toufexis since late 2017. I still cannot fathom how amazing of a provider she is, truly. She actively listens, genuinely cares for her patients, is personable, incredibly knowledgable, is not a medication pusher (only when indicated and the benefits outweigh the cons), she takes the time to explain any medications, and most of all, it has become clear to me that she considers her patients the most important members of their treatment plan. Dr. Toufexis is a rare gem. Unfortunately, I have moved out of state recently and have to find a new psychiatrist with her expertise, but as expected, I’m having a difficult time finding someone because Dr. Megan Toufexis has set the bar very high. She has my upmost respect. I highly recommend Dr. Megan Toufexis and her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Allison Kennel-Besselieu!
