We wanted to love our stay here as we frequently enjoy Embassy Suites but this property and its staff kept falling short. We booked this months out and really loved the pool and easy accessibility.

While checking in, there was a small paper taped to the front desk stating the pool would be closed. We were clearly upset and looking for answers. Patrick had none and blamed his lack of knowledge on “being off for a few days”. While waiting to find out what the details were, he threw his hands up and said “well are you checking in or not”. What Patrick really lacks is the compassion and friendliness that a career is hospitality requires. He was incredibly rude and condescending. Deacon stepped in at the right moment and tried to make right on the situation, offering us an upgrade and a few perks. He explained we were able to use the pool at the Hilton down the street. Thank you Deacon.

Valet explained to us that they do not offer self park and it was $40 a day, which we knew. But the person behind his got a different explanation, he said they can park across the street themselves for less expensive.

The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and the kitchenette was great to have. Housekeeping came and only made one of the beds??? Didn’t take out the trash or dirty glasses??

The managers special was about the worst we have ever seen in an Embassy Suite. Barely edible snacks and the breakfast buffet was not much better.

While checking out, I wasn’t sure if we still had one of our daily credits available, the man at the front desk said I used all three and finished our paperwork. After looking at the receipt, it was clear we only used two. I double checked with another associate, Alyssa, and sure enough, we did have a $25 credit for the day. Had I not asked, we would have lost it. She was wonderful and it took her 30 seconds to check and make it right.

Overall, we would not stay here again.

We had a business conference at this hotel and start to finish this staff was outstanding. Bob at valet was very helpful when I needed to retrieve something from my car in the garage. Happy Hour was great, rooms were very clean. Tgis was a great location, and I hope to be coming back soon.

Our stay at the Embassy Suites Tampa was overall enjoyable, thanks to excellent service and convenient amenities. Upon arrival, Jarvis went above and beyond, greeting us with a warm smile and even treating our kids to ice cream while we waited for the elevator—a small but memorable gesture that started our stay off on the right note.

The room was clean and modern, with a practical layout that accommodated both a pack-and-play and a pull-out bed easily. However, some walls could use a touch-up, and the bedroom felt a bit cramped compared to the rest of the suite.

Breakfast was a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options. We also dined at the onsite restaurant and were impressed by the food and drinks. That said, the seating setup isn’t the most family-friendly, with only one high chair available, which wasn’t the right height for the tables.

The hotel’s location is fantastic, especially for events at the arena, and the included meal added great value. However, the non-heated pool was a letdown, especially for the kids, and Friday night was particularly noisy due to a wedding.

Despite a few minor inconveniences, we appreciated the overall value and service and would consider staying again, especially for its prime location and accommodating staff.

I regrettably stayed at this hotel while attending a conference for a week. The hotel was visibly dirty in many public spaces. On the first night of my stay, I found live (and large!) cockroaches in my guest room. I went to the front desk, thinking they would apologize and offer a new room. The front desk agent was absolutely no help, showed 0 concern and I had to offer solutions of how the hotel could remedy my room situation. The only solution they did offer was to spray the room with chemicals, which I requested they not as I am pregnant and did not feel comfortable sleeping in a guest room freshly sprayed with pesticides. After making no progress, I requested at minimum the cockroaches (now dead or trapped under a glass cup) to be removed from my room and the room cleaned while I was out for a few hours if they were not able to offer a new room. The front desk assured me they would take care of it. I returned for the evening, 3 hours later, and the cockroaches were still in my guest room. Absolutely no attempt was made to remove them or clean the room. Back to the front desk, where the agent who originally told me it would be taken care of couldn’t even make eye contact with me or greet me when I approached the desk. Another agent radioed maintenance and after a few minutes of them chatting in the back out of sight, the agent finally agreed to move me to a new room. The front desk could not even bother to offer a comp night or even a free drink in the bar. The new guest room, which was supposedly “clean and available for check in” was in worse condition than the first room. A dirty sock from a previous guest was under one of the bed frames, a smeared stain I suspected to be pizza sauce was on the other bed’s headboard, and dirty bathroom without body wash or tissues.
As icing on the cake, the next day during the morning and lunch hour, there was maintenance spraying chemicals on the floor of each level of the hotel. The longer I stayed, the worse the condition of the hotel got.
Just steer clear of this hotel. Not worth the money even with the convenience of connected to the conference center. You are better off staying at a comparable price hotel still within walking distance of the conference center.
