I stayed at this hotel for a night before my flight, and unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable. The room had an extremely strong detergent smell, so overpowering that it made me feel dizzy. On top of that, the window was permanently locked for security reasons, so there was no way to ventilate the room.
A clean room is important, but the scent shouldn’t be so overwhelming that it affects guests’ comfort. I hope management finds a better balance in their cleaning process and considers solutions for ventilation.
Stayed here for the last night of a multi-stay vacation, and this was the best place of the trip. The tranquil courtyard filled with waterfalls and Spanish architecture is visible from all the floors. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, with the exception of the bathroom. Although there was a bit of a musky smell to the bedroom, despite there being no carpeting, it was negligible. This place could be perfect with a bit more care, but for a night or two, I would stay here again.
Been using Marriot properties for years. Used the Sheraton Four points and can’t accurately describe how dissapointed I was.
1. Outside looks great
2. Service at front desk was outstanding. Very Marriot
3. Took elevator to 8floor. First thing I see on 8th floor is large moisture drying machines. Kept going downhill from there.
4. Room is old, musty and just needs serious updates. It was very concerning. Overall appearance of room was terrible. Door not sealing, marks all over wall, sinks in bathroom were not draining.
5. Outside coming to room, it was obvious they had some serious water damage. Huge chunks of paint ready to fall from ceiling.
6. Went to restaurant for convince. Service was decent. Pizza was clearly a frozen one, hummus was blah, plus come with onions to eat. Weird. Huge plate of hummus, and one grocery store pita cut into triangles.
7. They need a bar manager to handle keeping proper drinks for guests. Sat at bar. Huey disappointing.
After this stay, I really should get my money back. Though our ten days of travel we stayed at four different Marriot properties. All were fantastic. Ended with Four points , seriously bad taste. Never staying there again
The room is nice. However the phone is broken. Only speaker works the receiver has no cord to the base. Can’t order room service.
I wanted dinner last night and the dining was full and only two staffers. One behind the bar the other running around. With four waiting before me, I left. I saw people bringing in food from outside or having it delivered.
The same happened at breakfast. Two staffers. I waited 20 mins and the lady kept saying just a few minutes. A woman with kids came in sat at a table and was served right away. I’ll go out the rest of my stay.
Currently here. Day 1 we were trapped in the elevator for about 20 minutes. Laughed it off. Got to room, unpacked and went to dinner. Came back and got ready for bed. Noticed it was warm in the room. Adjusted thermostat and went to sleep. Woke up numerous times because it was hot. Next morning the temp in the room keeps rising. 3 calls throughout the day to the front desk. Maintenance only showed up 1 of the 3 times. By 10pm we were hot and grouchy. I asked to be moved. They only had a king vs 2 queens that we were in so someone got stuck on a very springy and uncomfortable pull out sofa. New room is only 2 rooms away from the first room. It’s hot in here too. I bought a small fan. Whatever a/c unit that runs this block of rooms needs fixed or replaced. Tried to speak with the manager about our troubles. She is unable to authorize any kind of fee reduction so I waited in the lobby for an hour. The director was supposed to come talk to me. They never did. Then they were supposed to call me. I have not heard from them. I spent hours in a hot room waiting for maintenence to *not* show up. It would be nice to be compensated a little. This trip has been hot and anything but relaxing.
