I had a great time at Hyatt Place Tampa Busch Gardens! The bed was very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the customer service was friendly and welcoming. The staff was attentive and made my stay even more enjoyable. It’s a very quiet place, perfect for resting and relaxing. The price was reasonable, especially considering the free parking and the delicious buffet breakfast with a great variety of options. I will definitely come back!
The staff of this hotel are courteous and happy to engage with customers. We felt especially welcomed with our 1 year old. We had a very positive experience staying here.
The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The food server was constantly wiping tables, serving areas and refilling food. She was so kind to my family and a very hard worker.
We were somewhat surprised at the location. Yes, it was easy off the highway, but tucked behind stores etc. I’ve stayed in Hyatts before and thought it would be a bigger hotel. Don’t let that deter you from staying here tho – simply commenting bc I didn’t know upon looking a reviews.
Probably the worst nights sleep I have gotten in a hotel. I felt very unsafe in this hotel. There was a hole in the window that they just put cardboard and duct tape over so you heard EVERYTHING outside. Between outside and the staff slamming doors at all hours of the night and morning I did not sleep much. Plus I was right next to a hotel entrance so that door was being slammed all night and morning too. And right next to the stairs. Heard that being slammed all night too. Some construction or something started before 6am so that was just great. You can hear any one walking by your room. The rooms seem to have no insulation/sound proofing. I could literally hear the staff rustling bags in the hall very clearly from the bed across the room.
Also was not impressed by the hair and mold in the shower when I went to take a shower. Why is the bathroom so small the door almost hits the toilet??? They use super small towels that barely wrap around your waste. Even a small adults.
Not worth the price they charge that is for sure. If they put you in room 122, 123, & 125 ask to be moved because you will not get any sleep.
The hotel and its rooms are very nice. The rooms are large and the beds are good. But the soundproofing isn’t that good. You won’t be hearing a lot of traffic but you will hear the air-conditioning from other rooms. So there’s a constant reasonable loud noise during the night.
We did switch off ours completely but that didn’t help.
Location is good if you want to visit Busch gardens. Unfortunately they also charge a parking fee which need to be paid by scanning a QR code. The fee is $12,50 per night, you’ll need a credit and a phone number to fill out the online payment form.
Rooms are reasonably clean, although the window area and the windows itself could use some more attention.
All in all a reasonable hotel, but do compare with the surrounding hotels.
I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews but we had a very comfortable stay here. Stayed for 3 nights and had a huge spacious room with a living room area and mini kitchenette area. Ac worked great and the bed was super comfy and clean ( yes I inspect everything before laying down and go through all of the sheets ). The bathroom was clean with the sink on the outside which is helpful for someone to do their makeup while the other person showers. The lighting was also ample but I wish there was more light in the living room area. The elevators are super slow so yes that part in the reviews are accurate. Breakfast was simple but fresh, fresh waffles and bagels and fruits etc. The parking was very sketch yes, however, almost all hotels charge for parking now so it’s whatever. Our car did get a minor scratch on it because the spaces are very narrow but we didn’t want to park in the back of the hotel because of how dimly lit it was and creepy. So we kept the car directly in front. This was the only downside of the hotel. They can most definitely fix this problem and make parking free which would almost immediately boost their rating.
