This place was SUCH A VIBE!! Dayve Stewart and his band mates were PHENOMENAL. Our seating location was perfect, the food was superb and our server was super kind and attentive. She explained the offerings in detail and made sure we had everything we needed.
I made sure to budget for this experience. We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday and I wanted to make sure we were financially prepared. I did like that they did incorporate the gratuity in the final balance, I didn’t have to do any math at the end of the night :). If you want great live music experience with some really good food, this is it.
We went last year in March, and I forgot to make a review. We went for an anniversary. The food and atmosphere were great for the night. The music for the night was great as well. There was a reservation charge for the night and a minimum spend, but it wasn’t an issue for us. We haven’t been able to make it back out since last year, but we do recommend it.
Delicious food. Nice drinks. Phienomia entertainment. All round great black owned and operated dinner club. A serious triple treat.
We were in Orlando for Warriors game an was fortunate to have found Jazz Tastings. We will definitely return
I had an excellent time at Jazz Tasting!
We were very lucky because at the time we showed up there were only two spots open! We sat next to the stage, which you would think would be a bad seat, but we had the time of our lives seeing the joy of the keyboardist. On this evening, The Franchise Players were performing and the range of this band was astonishing! They went from classical Jazz to covers of Earth, Wind & Fire, Marc Anthony, James Brown, Bruno Mars and 2Pac, to name a few! Oof! They gave us a show!
The service was excellent! Christopher was attentive, kind and never lost the smile on his face. We asked him for food recommendations and he did not steer us off! The Norwegian Salmon, Braised Short Rib and Crab Cake were incredible! Our plates were clean when we were done eating. The presentation of the plates was also beautiful!
The place is small and reservations fill out quickly, then it becomes first come, first serve. But the vibes are perfect. People stroll in and out between sets, so don’t feel discouraged if you have to wait a bit.
I will say, things do get pricey during the weekend. There’s a cover charge of $10/person, a minimum spend of $50/person and an implemented gratuity of 20%, regardless of party size. Definitely something to do on special occasions or for those date nights you want to splurge on a little.
All in all, 10/10 experience for me and I will be highly recommending!
My husband and I recently spent a wonderful evening at Jazz Tastings in Maitland, and it exceeded all our expectations! We called ahead for reservations, which made everything smooth from the start. The outdoor area was beautiful and inviting, but the real magic happened once we stepped inside. The interior was spacious, with plenty of seating options, including spots right up front near the band and cozy booths along the walls. We chose to sit a bit further from the band so we could chat comfortably without being too close to the music, and it was perfect.
Our server, Maya, greeted us right away, and she was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She let us know happy hour was ending in 10 minutes, so we ordered quickly to catch the deals. We started with sweet chili calamari and buffalo tenders. The buffalo tenders were delicious, fried to perfection with a side of ranch, and my husband enjoyed both appetizers.
For the main course, we both took advantage of the Tuesday half-off “Wagyo Burger” and fries special, which included a choice of soda or beer. I opted for a soda, and my husband enjoyed a cold ultralight beer. Tuesday nights also feature half-off wine bottles, so we couldn’t resist sharing one. The Wagyo burger was cooked to a perfect medium, juicy, and topped with just the right amount of aioli, while the fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and simply delicious.
The jazz music added to the evening’s charm, with the singer engaging with the crowd and creating a warm, lively atmosphere. It was a fantastic night with great food, excellent service, and memorable music. We can’t wait to return, and we’ll definitely ask for Maya again.
