Back in 2022, my bro brought me to Kingly Cutz as a surprise gift to get me right the day before my wedding. I was expecting a normal haircut drive thru like experience.
But I soon found out that Kingly Cutz is nothing close to your regular mediocre “drive thru” barbershop. It’s where boys go to become men, where the poor go to become rich and where peasants are transformed into kings. It’s a life changing experience, to say the least.
Aside from the elite precision and top-notch skills that are executed for your haircut, Kingly Cutz offers more than any other shop can because of the intentionality of the ownership (King) to run his business not for profit but rather for each individual that walks thru it’s doors.
On my 1st visit there, King helped prepare me for my wedding not just physically but also mentally, emotionally & spiritually. Before Kingly Cutz, I never knew you could be so cared for and so empowered while sitting in a barber’s chair. King spoke into my life and encouraged me before taking a leap of faith into marriage. And gave me his personal blessing for the future and success of my life.
For the next 3 years, I grew my hair out after getting married and traveling around the world. But because after my experience sitting in King’s chair, I knew I couldn’t let anyone else cut my hair. Nobody wants fast food when you know where to get 5 star gourmet for the same price.
Being back in town last week, I was willing to drive 3 hours to see King again, but it ended only being 45 min to get there. Either way it’s worth the drive.
This time, I had my wife and now 2 baby girls join me. Not only was King there to joyfully greet us, but also his lovely wife and beautiful children were there as well to welcome my family right into theirs. As soon as I sat down in the chair, King began to do his thing, the weight of my journey in the last 3 years started to fall away with each cut. King was authentically being himself dropping straight gems and gold into my life with the things he was sharing with me. Meanwhile, his family was doing the exact same with my family tending to and serving us as if we were in the heart of their own home. It’s evident that not only does King love what he does, but more importantly, he loves the people he does it for. King is a man of great purpose, and when you sit in his chair, it quickly becomes a throne that is setting you up for your own great purpose as well. After asking King to pray for me and my family, his family joined him to once again bless us in preparation for what God has next.
Kingly Cutz is an exceptional barbershop if you’re just looking for a quality haircut with a positive atmosphere, but also, if you’re open for a life shaping transformation that will have you encountering God in the process of getting a freah cut, that’s also available. Although it’s not advertised on the menu, trust me, it’s definitely a capability in the hands of King at Kingly Cutz.
