My husband picked this restaurant based on the reviews, which were all very good. Everyone spoke of the warm ambiance and amazing food. Honestly, when we walked in, I thought we were at the wrong restaurant. It is not warm and the food is not amazing. The atmosphere feels more like a cafeteria. The place is very plain and has a cold feeling effect. For the prices, it was not impressive at all. Most nice Italian restaurants have table cloths and serve bread. This is not the place. I figured, no worries, as long as the food is good, I dont care. I ordered the Margherita pizza, which was very salty and greasy. The oil just dripped off of the piece I picked up. Absolutely did not taste like Margherita pizza.
My husband ordered the Trottole Chicken Pesto. It came in a bowl. Just pasta in a bowl. Again, not impressive. Not good either. Just not what we expected, based on the reviews. It was very disappointing to say the least, especially since we were celebrating our 32nd anniversary.
Our waiter was very nice so I have to say, the service was great. Unfortunately, this will not be a place we would visit again, nor recommend.
I have fallen deeply in love with this place. 5 star service, my waiter was very friendly and also professional. Incredible vibes and very nice decoration. Regarding the food, It was an explosion of flavor. The best one was my pesto pasta, also the bruschetta was tasty. The restaurant is a little pricey but 100% worth it. If you are in Orlando and you like pasta, this is the right place. It has a nice bar area too. It’s easy to find a free parking lot.
My husband and I went for dinner yesterday. Max was our server and he was so knowledgeable with the menu. My husband had the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and I ordered the Lasagna Bianca Al Forno. Both dishes were presented nicely and tasted even better! Max recommended the tiramisu and I almost ordered an additional one to take home! We will definitely be back!
First time going to North Italia and my husband and I loved the atmosphere and food. We both got the Truffle Garlic Bread as an appetizer and the Vodka Rigatoni for dinner. Both delicious. While there was an issue with my plate, our server Austin was so quick to fix the mistake. He truly went above and beyond with his service and truly made our experience that much better. If you get Austin as your server, know you’re in great hands!
North Italia is a fantastic restaurant for a casual yet delicious and fancy dinner with your friends or family. The only reason I will not be giving this 5 stars is that I ordered a dish which I was not told would be an additional upcharge to substitute the side. Part of that may have been on my end, but I wish I had been informed by the server beforehand that it would be an additional 7 dollars.
Despite this, the atmosphere gives a warm yet sleek modern Italian atmosphere and has beautiful mood lighting when dining at night. The food is fantastic, the highlight for me being the handmade pastas. Other members in my party sampled dishes such as the various pizzas and the salmon, all giving rave reviews. I had the Chicken Parmesan, which was fantastic, however I had not been informed that substituting the type of pasta would’ve incurred an additional charge (I substituted meat sauce instead of the Alfredo/cream sauce). I guess these are things that I should’ve expected beforehand!
Desserts were also fantastic, a star of the show for my group being the gigantic brownie sundae. This is a great dish if you have a big group or any hungry kids in your party! Everything else we tried was also fantastic.
Overall, it’s going to be on the more expensive end of things, but it is a very good meal! Most of the restaurants nearby and in this area will share very similar prices, so it’s about on par with the nearby establishments. It’s a great stop, but make sure you have a reservation.
