Pros- Multiple available apartments. Great gym. Large pool. New jacuzzi. Available dog park. Great neighbors.
Cons- overpriced for being located in an underdeveloped location. Poor customer service after signing lease contract.

Pierhouse is definitely the budget building in Channelside. Its and old and cheaply made building, apartments are decently sized though. If you can afford a different apartment in the area I’d do that.

    Pros
    -Great location.
-Amenities are nice enough for the price point.
    -Maintenance responds quickly.

    Cons
-Noise. Cheaply constructed building, you’ll hear when your upstairs neighbors walk, talk, flush. You’ll hear your neighbor’s dog bark, TV, etc. It’s significantly worse than your typical apartment.
-Appliances are old and cheap and break down frequently. They replaced my hot water heater but still only get a few minutes of hot water
-The buildings smell a bit funky.
-Management has some weird policies. If you want to borrow a fob for a few days for a guest they ask for $325.
    -No guest parking

They don’t have guest parking. They charge 180$ per towing fee and it’s far. Ive lived here for 3 years and throughout the last three years they used to be okay with guest parking in the future resident parking. But this week they’ve towed my girlfriend’s car twice. Highly recommend spending a little more to have guest parking somewhere else. I won’t be renewing my lease

I lived here ONLY 3 months because it was hell and imma tell you this place is the TRASHIEST apartment on Channelside. This place is a joke.

    1. The property manager “Sarah Musil” is incapable of handling problems and doesn’t know the basics of customer service. I got charged a $300 late fee within THREE DAYS OF MOVING in because their system wouldn’t let me pay rent? Their employee “Michael” told me to pay the following day because he didn’t know why? I told “Sarah Musil” this and she told me that “it’s hard to believe” Bro I’ve been here for THREE days and ur calling me a liar and charging me a $300 late fee? Bye.

    2. No lights in the bedroom…. Are you kidding me? For this price? What you want me to do? Build a chandelier for you or buy a lamp? Absolutely ridiculous… so make sure you choose one of those options when you move in because they built no lights in the bedrooms so I stayed in the pitch black for the duration I was there….hard to do stuff in your room with no light imma tell you that

    3. This place is very outdated, the carpets in all the hallways give a Motel 6 vibe. They sent out a mass email in February saying they’ll charge you $100 if you keep your Christmas lights on the balcony…..but the apartment hallways looks like actual trash? Look at the photo of the carpet in the hall I have attached. How are you gonna charge a ridiculous fee for simple decorations when your hallways look like a rundown crack motel from the 90’s (or maybe early 2000’s if I’m being nice)

    4. As soon as I moved in, my parking pass wasn’t working while I was leaving the garage. I ran to the front office spoke with the front office and told them to fix it and they said they had to reactivate it and it would take about 15 mins. So I ran back to my car to leave the garage and I ended up following someone else out. The front office called me and asked if the parking pass worked and I said “idk I followed someone else out.” They said “ok, thanks!”. The next day I see a huge sign in the garage “NO TAILGATING”…..how bout u fix the parking pass I PAID for and not put up petty signs

    5. The elevator in our building was down for over a month. NO sign up the whole month because they care about their reputation so much. It was over a month bro and imagine how many people have waited for that elevator not knowing it was out of order….cuz they can’t put up a sign? Lol

    6. They never gave us our security deposit back and their vague reason was “deep cleaning”. That’s stupid af because that whole place was deep cleaned and I was there a short duration. Look at their “moving out” list and you’ll see outrageous fees they will charge you for stuff to do before you move out. One of the fees listed is $300 for grout cleaning…

Overall, terrible place and the staff made it 10x worse. Thanks Sarah and Michael.

I am counting down the days until I move out of this complex. To start, please do not ignore the other reviews about the construction. It’s an absolute nightmare and I feel bad for whoever lives in my unit after me. Hopefully they provide you with ear plugs on your move in date because you will always be woken up by banging and shaking of the apartment. Besides the construction, Pierhouse is dirty and not kept up with. There is a major roach problem in the apartments and hallways. The property exterminator said this is because the roofs are not kept clean and the roaches will live up there and crawl in through the vents. I found this out after having a roach fall from the vent onto my bedroom floor. The gym is rundown and the equipment is broken. The hallways always smell musty and there is garbage left everywhere. Lastly, good luck ever receiving your packages since you will be sharing your unit number with 2-3 other buildings. I have had more packages lost than ever before and only some have been returned back to me. Please save your money and look into the other complexes surrounding Pierhouse!! This place isn’t worth it.
