I’m new to fostering and have worked exclusively with Rags to Riches. Dominique and her team are amazing! Communication is open, easy and they go above and beyond to help in any way possible. Dominique carefully chooses the best homes for her rescues because she LOVES each of them. Being a part of this group and helping animals find their perfect families is such a blessing and brings me absolute JOY! Highly recommend!
Very dishonest about their adoption policies. I live in the same state and made arrangements to adopt an eligible pet. Their adoption process is a total mess. I filled out the application and made repeated attempts to contact them. I was given the ‘green light’ and told if the meeting a greet went well I could take the kitty home. Day before they tell me the fee on the application of $100-200 didn’t include ‘exotic’ pets. I still agreed pending the cat’s vet records and health. They then became very dodgy and rescinded the offer. Very sad to lead people on and then flip the switch when questioned. Then proceeded to gaslight me when I questioned their practices. Beware if this place.
Recently adopted a pekingese from this rescue. Dominique was very responsive. I was shocked how thorough she took care of the pup and made sure he was going to a good home. I offered to take the pup early and have all the vetting done myself. She was adamant about the pup being fully vetted by the rescue’s vets before adopting out. The foster mom jamie went above and beyond to make sure the pup got to his appointments and delivered him to me personally. We are so in love. The rescue and volunteers truly love and care for these pets. Thank goodness there are people like them out there who devote their lives to these animals.
