I hate to write bad reviews. But this is bothering me. My dog stayed at Sit N Stay dog academy 3-4 months ago. I had my dog do a training session for 2 weeks, then turned into 4 weeks. I tried to stick to the training program they taught me, but my dog is ruined. He was a puppy and now he’s scared of everything. All my neighbors, friends think I abuse him. I feel so bad for him. Everytime I raise my hand he shakes and owes on the floor. I do know they use the choker method, I asked my vet and he said that’s a cruel practice to use for training. Something happened at Sit N stay.i can’t prove anything but I feel like my dog was abused. I’m so sad, and feel So bad for him.
While Inghram’s Sit and Stay offers a convenient training solution, our experience left me wanting more. While the trainers were friendly and knowledgeable, I found the communication regarding my pet’s progress to be lacking. It would have been helpful to receive regular updates on milestones achieved and areas needing improvement. Additionally, guidance on at-home reinforcement techniques would have been beneficial.
The cost of the program, while not exorbitant, felt disproportionate to the observed results. While my pet did learn some basic commands, significant progress was not evident. I expected a greater return on investment, especially considering the time and resources dedicated to the training process.
Overall, while Inghram’s Sit and Stay has potential, I believe improvements in communication and a clearer focus on measurable outcomes are necessary to provide a more satisfactory experience for pet owners.
I highly recommend Ingrams Sit and Stay Academy! We took our reactive dog, Kobe, to their facility and wish we had done it sooner.
From the first session, Shalli was amazing! She showed a deep understanding of canine behavior, particularly regarding reactive dogs. She took the time to evaluated Kobe’s triggers and customized her approach to meet his specific needs. She was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and compassionate, which made all the difference for us. Definitely give them a call for a free consult.
When I think of this facility im at a loss for words, from the second you enter you feel welcomed. I am the mom of a deaf 3 year old pit terrier, she is my soul and world and they understood that. I was always updated on her progress and even sent photos and video of her training. She is so calm and obeys so well I never thought I would get to this point. At home she is still continuing and doing the commands shes learned and I cant wait to take her to a group class. I was referred by a friend to come here and it was one of the best decisions. Everyday I spend time with my Snow I thank Shalli and all the amazing trainers that didnt give up on my stubborn girl. Ill be forever grateful and indebted to this great team, because they’re not just coworkers; it’s a family and I’m glad to be apart of it now
I cannot say enough good things about Inghram’s SitnStay! The BEST decision we ever made for our deaf dog’s training. I was recommended here to train my deaf dog, Beethoven, who was having aggression and major resource guarding issues.
I was initially skeptical after reading some negative reviews. But I spoke to their Master trainer, Clark, and I felt his passion and knowledge come through. I decided to trust the recommendations I had been given and boy am I glad I did!
Inghram’s SitnStay will not just overload your dog with treats to where they only listen when you have a treat. They will teach your dog to have innate manners; not use bribery for good behavior. They work through dog socialization and psychology to ensure what your dog is learning is grasped in “his/her” social language. Neither the academy or your dog can do it alone. You have to do your homework and do your part in the training process as well.
Clark and his team gave my dog confidence that was stripped of him in his early life by bad humans. They taught him how to walk confidently and learn to trust humans. I didn’t think it was possible but they removed my dogs food aggression!!! It was unbelievable. They teach with a balance of discipline and care. The biggest sign for me on how my dog is treated is his trust, happiness, and love for each person at SitnStay. He comes home happy and loves being there. Forget human reviews. Trust how your dog responds!
This place is likely the best decision you can make for your dog. They train the human end and the dog end of the leash. We also had to put in our part and follow their instructions. Today, my husband and I look back and don’t even know where we would be, or where our dog would be for that matter, if it wasn’t for these trainers. We consider this team friends and part of our extended family now.
We were also fortunate enough to have them train our dog for service for me. Below are some pictures of practice sessions at TPA. SitnStay is the only trainer in the country allowed in airports to take service dogs to practice through real life scenarios, which is an incredible help for us both.
Trust them and ultimately trust your dog; they will show you through their actions that this place is fun!
