We really like Stardust as a cool, retro spot to chill, hang out, and sometimes listen to live music. There are so many cool things to look at and you could spend hours looking at all of the art scribbled on the walls by past customers. Really and awesome experience here and can’t wait to go back and try more of their drinks.
Genuinely one of the coolest places and best lattes I’ve ever experienced, and I often bring my laptop here to work since it’s one of the few coffeehouses that stay open quite late. The espresso has a nutty, rich flavor, and every time I’ve gone, it’s consistently solid and delicious. I’d probably rank it in the top 5 lattes I’ve ever had in my life, hands down. I always just get an iced oat milk latte, but they have loads of flavors and other drink options as well.
There are two sections – one side is a bit smaller with separate tables that’s on the quieter side and better for working, while the other side has community tables, nooks, a bar, and a stage, and can get much louder and more social. The atmosphere is incredible no matter what, and whether you’re going to get some work done or catch up with friends, it’s genuinely one of my favorite cafes I’ve ever been to. There’s also alcohol and food, if you’re looking for more cafe vibes, and farmers markets happen in the parking lot sometimes as well.
[ps. the staff is cooler than any of us will ever be, so don’t get yourself in a twist if they don’t pull out a Disney-customer-service attitude for you]
Stardust Video & Coffee is a place with identity. They know who they are, and are unapologetically themselves. It is not for everyone, and as such, there are a few things you should know before you go.
First, it is a very chaotic environment, and I get the feeling they like it that way.
Maximalist decor hangs on the walls everywhere you look, and any available space has been covered in various stickers, sketches, or notes from prior customers. These can range from sweet love notes to political statements to explicit drawings or everything in-between.
In one of the rooms this decor reaches a crescendo, and glowing lanterns warmly illuminate the space, creating a night sky of sorts. It is spectacular.
The music they play is loud, and not the type of music you would expect from a coffee shop. Expect to hear indie classics, Kendrick Lamar deeps cuts, some pieces in various foreign languages, and a song that features a woman moaning loudly for ~30 seconds.
I got a Chai latte which was good, but not particularly impressive, but they also have alcoholic beverages and food options as well.
Stardust is a unique spot for particular people. I liked it overall, but have a hard time recommending it to everyone. Based on what I said above, I invite you to decide for yourself!
I will probably be going from time to time, but it won’t become my go-to spot anytime soon.
Place isn’t what it used to be. Used to have all kinds of cool things to browse, now there are just some books and pretty much nothing else. Ordered a hazelnut latte and it was pretty disappointing. The hazelnut was almost nonexistent, there was no attempt at latte art, and maybe this shouldn’t upset me, but maybe put a lil more thought into your mug choices. The mug they gave me, which says “this girl runs on faith and coffee” promotes religion (I’m not religious) and also is literally for a woman, and I am a man. Why would I want to drink out of this, honestly it’s embarrassing and insulting.
A local gem for sure. The vibes are immaculate and makes for a great date location and it’s hours of operation make it flexible as great start or end to your day!
The main dishes are very tasty tending more on the simple side like sandwiches wraps and salads. Sides are okay. Service can be fairly slow and I will warn they often run out of seasonal or limited time teas and flavors fairly quickly into the day but don’t let this deter you from checking it out!
