    Hey listen the take 5 auto change is on Kennedy boulevard downtown Tampa from what I could see it had an all black staff except for one white girl that was newly hired these folks know exactly what they’re doing and they do it fast they top off your fluids they check your tire pressure they give you the best high quality synthetic oil that money can buy and you’re in and out in just a few minutes without even leaving your car these guys are fantastic if you’re not getting your oil changed there You’re really missing out on a great customer service experience everyone from the person that you speak with to the person that checks your tire pressure is an expert at what they do Go there and you’ll never go anywhere else again

    This Take 5 location is THE BEST. I have been to about 6 different take 5 locations across the Tampa Bay Area and this spot takes the cake by a mile. Team was energetic, respectful, kind, and extremely efficient with their communication and systems. This is not my “home” location, but from not on will be going out of my way to go to this spot. 10/10 service.

    !!! BEWARE !!!
    I went in for an oil change and they drained my transmission fluid.

    1st- I waited 30 minutes or so to be serviced.

    2nd- At 3:00pm they started to work on my car.

    3rd- I was told by an overly anxious service associate that she had “bad news” for me. And told me then that they had drained my transmission fluid. My car now is stuck there.

    4th- Location manager starts cursing and screaming at the top of his lungs with the associated present while I am standing there not knowing what will happen…

    5th- After screaming show, they tell me I have to call an 800 number and start a claim so they can order me a tow truck to a mechanic so that my car can be fixed. They do assure me this is not going to cost me a thing (obviously, right? Ha! Wait for it.)

    6th- Now it’s 5:30pm (yes, two and a half hours later) and the tow truck arrives.
    7th- 5:54pm I arrive at the mechanic, who closes at 6:00pm.

    8th- I receive a bill in order to take my car out of the mechanic for $207 and was told to call Take5 on this so that they could reimburse me.

    9th- Five calls later, spoke with at least six different people, and I hear that they will cut me a check that will arrive in the mail in 7-10 business days once they are done “reviewing my claim.”

    Now, I was calm and contained the ENTIRE time. Mistakes happen, it’s normal, but how is it LEGAL or FAIR to have a customer pay out of pocket to have their car back to how it was before they drove into a Take5 location after THEY made a mistake that costed this customer an entire afternoon, a missed appointment, and over $200, two days before thanksgiving?

    What if I was a single mother and the $200 I had to put down unexpectedly was everything I had? What if I didn’t have the $200 to get my car fixed that night? Then I wait now until I have it to have my car back? And how do I go to work?

    HOW, please tell me HOW, is this even legal? How is this place allowed to stay in business?

    Didn’t catch the gentleman’s name who helped me out. He was truly wonderful and transparent. Showed me oil levels after being changed and took great care of me. He seemed to be training a new employee and did a great job managing the shop during a very busy weekend time and being able to train.
