I rescued a puppy poodle mix in October 2024. Over the last few months she became very reactive. I was feeling defeated because I couldn’t help her. I reached out to The Dog Wizard and had an initial evaluation. They made me feel like we could improve her reactivity. I signed her up for the 2 week board and train program. Her trainer is Amado Bonilla. I truly enjoyed working with Amado. He sent update videos every few days. He is very patient and calm. Daisy trusted him completely and loved him. Amado was also very patient with me when teaching me how to keep up with Daisy’s training. Upon completion of her program I can see a huge change. I have worked with other trainers before and they do not compare to Amado and The Dog Wizard. I highly recommend!
Madison is an absolutely incredible trainer! Our two little Aussies were a disaster on walks—we had to stick to secluded areas and even resorted to “air jail” at times. But thanks to Madison’s expertise, patience, and care, they walk beautifully now! She not only transformed their behavior but also equipped us with the tools and knowledge to continue their training for long-term success. Our pups adored her, and it was clear she treated them like her own while teaching them things we never could. We couldn’t be more grateful—thank you, Madison!
Dierdre did an amazing job with our puppy, Sadie. She tailored the training to our needs and lifestyle, and provided great advice and guidance to us and Sadie. The updates and videos were also very helpful. Sadie loves showing off her new skills and I think she’ll always have a special connection with Dierdre! Highly recommend!
Madison has been a lifesaver for my puppy and I. Nova is a mini Aussie with a lot of energy and I was having trouble correcting behavioral issues such as jumping and biting. She went into their 2 week jumpstart program and came back such a better dog. Although I missed her like crazy for those 2 weeks it was worth it because it has already made our bond stronger. Madison updated me with videos and pictures through out the whole process. She educated me on how to further train Nova myself when she came back home. Nova also had so much anxiety in the car and would drool excessively and throw up but not anymore. My two cats are also very thankful now that Nova has a little more self control and won’t mess with them as much. But if she does, she listens to my command to stop! She’s mastered sit, down, drop it, heel, place, and potty training. She’s more comfortable in her crate and our walks have improved so much. So far I’ve had one follow up visit at my home and get another one that is included in this program. We also get support classes twice a month for life! I highly highly highly recommend the Dog Wizard. I look forward to attending these support classes to get more involved with her training and to get Nova involved with other graduates !
We enrolled Prince in the 14 Day Board & Train Program to work on his obedience and reactivity. Prior to the Dog Wizard, it was nearly impossible to take him on walks and to public places because he would pull erratically and lunge/bark at other people and dogs. Amado was his trainer and did a great job being patient with him and helping him work on his anxiety. Prince is now much calmer and we can finally take him on a walk without it being a negative experience. He also more obedient in the household thanks to learning new commands. Amado was great about providing us video updates showing us what Prince was working on, which made him being away much easier. Definitely recommend the Dog Wizard and Amado!
