Be careful reading the positive Google reviews as some of them were posted by employees. For example, Duane Wright is a Director at Energy Monster. Ceasar/Cesar may also be an employee as that name is mentioned in several reviews.

In Y2020, I contracted with Energy Monster to install solar panels, spray foam insulation and a backup battery system.

Issue 1: I made the mistake of paying Energy Monster in advance for the battery installation. When I opted not to proceed with Energy Monster with the battery installation and instead utilize another solar installer, Energy Monster did not fully reimburse me what I believe I am entitled to. Their rationale for the discrepancy was ‘fees’ but they have refused numerous requests to review their calculations with me and what fees they are referring to. I on the other hand provided them with my calculations but received no response. I submitted a BBB complaint on this matter which to date, they have refused to respond to. They are now completely unresponsive to my attempts to resolve the matter. I have contacted various FL state departments as well. I am now in discussions with my lender LoanPal to address this issue.

Issue 2: As part of the Spray Foam installation, installers are required to ensure that access to the home’s HVAC air handler and ductwork is not blocked. Energy Monster installed the insulation leaving me with no access to HVAC air handler and ductwork (which I discovered only when the HVAC failed and an HVAC service rep pointed it out to me). Energy Monster confirmed the issue on-site and although they agreed to send someone to install a ‘zipper door’ the next day, no one ever showed up. As they are now unresponsive to my attempts to reach them, I was left with no alternative but to install an attic access drop-down stair case at my own cost.

Issue 3: During the spray foam insulation installation process, Energy Monster damaged my ceiling in numerous spots including leaving a light fixture dangling from the ceiling (refer to attached pictures). They sent a representative to inspect/confirm and the representative committed to repairing the damage by the middle of the following week. No one came and I was not contacted. Ultimately, I had to contract with a handyman myself to make the necessary repairs. To their credit, Energy Monster agreed to pay for the handyman services. But the customer service otherwise for this issue was unacceptable. I should not be expected to spend my time seeking out handymen to make repairs to damage that Energy Monster caused.

In March of this year, I used Energy Monster on a garage project. The crew did a good job on the interior insulation, but totally botched the prep work. The insulation seeped from the soffits all over my attic flooring, recently painted garage, and newly installed pavers around the perimeter. I obtained a quote from my paver company for the labor only to use my additional pavers and fix the problem. I sent it over to Energy Monster and told them that mistakes happen and that I would work with them not including anything for additional cost of pavers and paint damage to the exterior walls. They initially replied and my quote was sent to the owner. The owner, Richard Orlandi, never replied to me and has ignored me ever since. I am very disappointed by this company. See attached photos for a small portion of the damage caused by the foam. An extra 15-20 minutes of prep work would have eliminated this problem.

I give them five stars, four construction Quality, this company installs with perfection, as in OCD type install, but I give them four stars because they no longer support the sonnen battery system. which turns out to be a excellent system. for backing up whole house power outage. If they can establish slash reestablish support of the sonnen battery, it will make the company even better but overall, I am satisfied haven’t had any issues but one and it was resolved but I highly recommend that sonnen battery system.

This company does great work. I got their name from others who have also had the work done. I shopped around and they are very competitive too. They are very passionate about their field.

Since they foamed my house earlier this year, my air conditioner actually cycles off and on even during this heat wave July 2019. Also had them do the metal air conditioning ducts that had missing insulation and the walls opened for remodeling. It’s a truly amazing transformation. They remove the old insulation (and crud) in the attic then seal and spray foam the attic. My attic is now the same temperature as the rooms below. I’m remodeling the whole house. This portion was not only my favorite part, I feel like I truly received true value for my investment.

It’s been about a year since I have had my 35 panel (11.2 KW-DC) installed. I Energy Monster did a great job installing my solar array of 35 all-black panels and did it all within a day. No issues after a year and they have been very helpful at keeping me up to date with the permitting process up to the utility’s permission to connect. In 2021, I have generated over 14600 KWh and only used 12000 KWh, sending a total of 2600 KWh to the grid by December 31, 2021. My house is about 2000 sq ft. They size the array for my house very well.
