FAQs About AC Hotel Tampa Airport

Hotel was nice, clean, and quiet. There was an interesting odor on in the lobby, but completely different and fresh smell on the floor. The shuttle service was great and the young lady who picked us up from the airport was nice. She gave great directions and also took us to the mall. One slight mishap was regarding our return shuttle to the airport. We were told to be in the lobby at a particular time and the shuttle wasn’t there and didn’t arrive within a reasonable time. The hotel, however, called an Uber and we arrived at the airport in time.
My thanks to and praise for the front desk team of the AC Hotel Tampa Airport. Enabled a very smooth check-in for my family and graciously enabled a delayed checkout. It was a very pleasant stay. Very well-maintained, clean, and quiet property. No hint of the neighbors or outside events or traffic. Parking was easy, at no additional cost. Comfortable in all respects. Will gladly stay again.
Very nice hotel and rooms. Free parking. Nice pool area. Room floor was extremely dirty but otherwise all was good except when we checked in they were scheduled to have a 3 hour power outage with no power, A/C or water. Felt they should have told us this before we got to the hotel to check in.
Very clean upscale property with nice rooms. There are several quality restaurants within walking distance and the hotel is convenient to the airport. They have a nice spacious lounge. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Thanks to Julie for going above and beyond with a parking issue that we needed to work out. This was the second time we have stayed at this property. Highly recommend as a long time Bonvoy member.
Overall I liked this hotel. The front desk employees were friendly and provided prompt service at both check in and check out. However, there were some minor annoyances:
1. There are two elevators and one was out of service, leading to long waits going up and down. Frustrated by a delay, my girlfriend and I decided to walk down the stairs from the third floor. However, it led outside, not to the lobby, and the gate by the pool was locked. We had to walk around the property through the garage to get back to the front.
2. There is a coffee pot on top of the mini fridge but there’s no outlet nearby, so I had to move it into the bathroom so as to not disturb my girlfriend when I woke up and wanted a coffee.
3. The lights are not intuitive at all. If all the lights are off and you want to turn on the reading light by the nightstand, you have to go by the front door in the dark and turn on the master light switch. Ridiculous.
4. I had no issue with the comforter but my girlfriend said it felt like “covering yourself in paper.” There isn’t much weight to it.
5. The lobby bar is spacious. However, it was woefully understaffed on a Saturday night, with just two bartenders and one waitress when an event was held. The waitress was overwhelmed and never came to take our order, and I had a fruitless attempt at procuring drinks at the bar, so we wound up leaving and giving our business to Miller Ale House a couple blocks away. Lost opportunity.
Again, we liked the hotel overall, but there is definitely room for improvement.
