I would highly recommend it for a date night or special gathering. The food and drinks were delicious! For starters we had the street corn-you can order it on the cob or off the cob to complement the house chips.
We tried the Rico Suave and the Forbidden Fruit drinks, my favorite was Rico Suave it was the perfect blend of sweet.
There’s not a lot of selection of food, but their food has great portions and it’s delicious!
I loved all the decors, the music was not too loud, which I truly appreciated and the atmosphere was great!
The parking lot can get extremely packed and you may have to park on the next plaza. Overall it was worth it!
One of my fave Mexican restaurants. Everything is full of flavor and the atmosphere is very chill and laid back. Always busy but that’s expected for amazing food and drinks. The margaritas are perfect and it’s hard to get a good margarita. I always struggle to pick my entrees as I have multiple faves. Attentive staff that is great at taking orders and giving good service. All around recommend for any occasion!
Unique Mexican food collection, with great taste. We were two and the cost was about 60 but we could eat till satisfaction. Beautiful ambience and chilly wind was making it more enjoyable. We really liked the food and overall experience.
I stopped by Agave in Windermere for a casual dinner and ended up having one of the best dining experiences thanks to Santiago, our server. From the moment we sat down, his energy and enthusiasm stood out.
This time, I wasn’t sure what to order, so I asked Santiago for recommendations, and he absolutely nailed it. He suggested the shrimp tacos paired with a side of Mexican street corn, and they were incredible! To go with the food, he also recommended a handcrafted margarita, and it was perfection—fresh, flavorful, and a great complement to the meal.
What made the experience even better was Santiago’s genuine care and attention to detail. He made sure we were always taken care of, checked in often without being intrusive, and his knowledge of the menu was impressive. By the end of the meal, it felt like we’d been served by a friend.
If you visit Agave, ask for Santiago —you won’t regret it. Amazing food, drinks, and outstanding service all in one place!
I had some friends come into town, and they wanted to eat at a fancy, but not too fancy, Mexican restaurant. When I hear that, I immediately thing Agave Azul. So we chose the one by their hotel, make reservations, and get this thing going.
In the middle of a ho-hum strip mall, the interior is a stark contrast, very ornate and very upscale. Chill at the same time. You feel very comfortable in here, but also like you want to bop your head and party a little bit.
Anyway, we got seated and met our server. She was very nice. Had a good explanation of the menu for us. No issues. Our drinks were full all evening long.
As for the food, it was a little lackluster compared to our first time at the WP location. I know the restaurant world is faced with budget decisions lately, and I know the people of Windermere are a little seasoning-hesitant, so it all kind of adds up, and it was still a wonderful night, so I’m gonna stick with the five stars here.
I had the Flautas (Chicken tinga, flash fried corn tortillas, crema, guacamole, queso fresco, radish, refried beans, Mexican rice, tomatillo arbol salsa).
Mega crispy with some flavorful chicken inside. All that listed stuff piled high on top made for some good dipping and topping. Really fun. Really good. The rice and beans were part of the disappointment that I mentioned earlier, but they were still satisfactory. I’m glad they were there.
We also had a sampler thing with a quesadilla, a burrito, a chimichanga, something like that. Also good. A good sauce, a tasteful amount of cheese, maybe a little small amount of rice and beans. Overall pretty good.
We finished it all off with a Tres Leches. Pound-for-pound, the best thing we ate that night. This cake was very well saturated. Not too sweet, because the sweetness was the cream on top, and the caramel drizzle. Perfect amounts of each. A really nice way to end the dinner.
Overall, this was a nice dinner. I will probably not come back, but if you are considering coming here, this place will not disappoint!
