The hotel was super clean, modern and perfect for a work trip. The only issue was being woken up by a fire alarm at 5am. We were told to evacuate the building and after 40 minutes the alarms stopped. Once the elevators were working, we could go back in. My issue is that no one from the hotel even check with guests as we were evacuating and then going back inside. You would think as a safety measure, a staff person would have been present. Not sure if I would stay here again because of that.
***Add $40/night to your stay*** Contemporary, minimalist room, not the best of the Marriott properties in our experience. We would have booked a different hotel room considering that ONLY valet parking is available at this hotel at $40/day. We would prefer to have spent the $120+ on something else this trip. Disappointing that the website wasn’t more clear about this aspect of the property when booking. We brought this up with the front desk upon check in, but they weren’t helpful. Comfortable bed, but very basic room layout without separate bathroom/shower area. I would have given one more star for location, but our view was meh. Toilet paper bar fell off the wall and conditioner was empty = not ready for guests. Lots to do within walking distance if thats what you’re in town for.
We stayed here recently for the first time. It’s a little difficult to access and parking is weird. Check in is on the 6th floor which again was a little odd. The staff was pleasant, although we called for extra towels 3 times and never received them. The bar area was a great place for our group to have a casual happy hour. The rooms were awesome! I loved the layout and decor. Super unique and beautiful.
This place was great, very clean. The only issue I have is the fact that the parking lot is separated from the building itself. For example, if you park on the 6th floor you have to take an elevator all the way down to the 1st floor exit the elevator go on another elevator to go into the building and go app to the 6th floor to enter your apartment. Shopping center-right across the street. Very nice. A little bit for everyone There’s even a little playground area for the kids great place.
My partner and I planned to stay in Tampa only for one night, but plans changed last minute and we booked at Aloft Midtown Tampa. We both had full days of work the next day and so we were really hoping for a late check out so we could work for most of the day in our room. Our new pal Sal at the front desk was so flexible, kind, and accommodating which was a huge relief after a long day. The room was perfect and the service improved our already great Tampa stay. Thank you Sal!
