“I took my family to Angels from Jacksonville, Florida, and we were treated with top-notch respect and service. I had the pork chop, baked chicken, and mac & cheese—everything was delicious! My family ordered different dishes, and we all cleaned our plates. The vibe was nice and chilled. Highly recommend!”
Hands down the best soul food in Central Florida! The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. I stumbled upon this gem on my way home from work, and after just one bite of their roast beef, I was hooked. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their delicious dishes!
3rd time trying this place over the course of 10 yrs. 1st time (2014) a friend referred/brought me here said they served chitterlings and when I got them they were very finely minced as of it was a chitterling loaf and wasn’t good at all! Second time my husband and I came to dine in (2016) and he ask if they served beer and the waiter said “ OH NO, we’re Saved and Sanctified”, and we just got up and left but now I see they serve beer!! So now 3rd time, I gave them another try the other day, (2025) since it’s been years and I doubt if I go back. I got the turkey wing lunch and the turkey was so bland and dried out. I thought it was soaking in flavors and it was only soaking in water! I feel it’s overpriced as you don’t even get rice with the meal, they said it’s a side! The cabbage was bland and the greens had more flavorless pork in them than greens itself! I asked about a kids meal for my nephew which they said they don’t have but they had a 1 meat with a side which came up to almost $10, he got 2 chicken legs and macaroni and it didn’t even come with a drink. He said the meal was ok. I’m mostly upset about the turkey wing lunch for $18, I at least expected it to have flavor and it was NONE! Also with the amount of people working in there the food shouldn’t be lacking at all in my opinion!
