This place is gaining popularity. Small. Accessible. Clean. Very good view of the water. There is also a viewing tower on the property. You can consistently get great sunset photos!
What a great place to go for, walking around or sitting and looking out into the water. You have to go up the tower for some amazing views. You can see both Tampa and St. Pete’s in the distance. They have a beach area for walking and sitting only. You can’t get into the water here. They do have pavilions with tables, so if you want to have a picnic, you could.
This is a great location to take out-of-town guests when on the east side of Tampa Bay. Incredible views of downtown Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Bradenton can be seen on clear days across the water. This preserve is dog friendly but swimming and wading is off limits. There’s an incredible observation tower that is easily navigable with a number of not so steep ramps.
Wonderful, clean bay experience! Note: no water wading or swimming allowed. Beautiful gazebo, picnic tables, and benches as well as public restrooms. Lots of walkways, suitable for handicap access. If you must bring your dog, please pick up after it, and don’t assume everyone likes dogs OR that your dog is comfortable around electric wheelchairs, scooters, or manual walkers. No tickets required.
Very pretty area. You cannot swim here. But if you just seek solitary with a chair and a book its a great place. Manatees also come here so it’s a protected water area.
