Beach Suites Resort

FANTASTIC beach front location – 2 great restaurants literally across the street – convenience store one block away…..I didn’t need a car, everything I needed was right there for a stress-less ultra-relaxing vacation. The staff, both Diane and the owner, were so, so nice and approachable.
I traveled alone and my room was one bedroom, oceanfront…looking right at the waves. Super clean, comfortable and very cold air and ceiling fans. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker – plenty of linens. I didn’t have to ask for a thing. Pool and hot tub are amazing and the grounds are very well maintained. I was literally so happy with my choice. Definitely independently owned (not a big chain name) – but so charming and literally, there could not be a closer spot to the beach.
The restaurants across the street were great – Screwies (breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks), or Dockside Dave’s (lunch, dinner, drinks). Both have inside/outside seating……the Grouper and scallops at Dave’s………soooo good.

Booked this hotel for holiday weekend. What a horrible experience! Not only did we NOT get to stay at this hotel we were shoved to next door hotel (same owners) Schooners and placed in a smaller room than we paid for and was given a cot for people to sleep on. We paid for a place that slept six. This slept 4. Then asked for more than 2 towels was told they only provide 2 at a time. Parking? Whole other issue! You park across a 4 lane highway from hotel in a parking lot that is used for anyone that visit local bars and restaurants. Try unloading and loading your things to get to your room crossing this highway several times a day. Never will they get our business again.
