Being from New England, Boston’s has been a staple for my family for many, many years. My daughter was born and raised here in Central Florida, yet she has NE blood running through her veins as she and her grandfather have always been big Red Sox Fans. My wife from NJ has been part of this tradition for years. The food, the service and ambiance has always been great making us feel like we are right back in in the NE area. Now, today we introduce my 2 year old grandson. When we arrived there was no line, we were able to walk right up and place our orders without being rushed. The staff never rushed us in the past just the hungry other families behind us in the past. Well, my grandson was quieter than anyone at the table minding his own business until my box of fried clams showed up. He grabbed the basket and grabbed himself a Fried Clam. He ate the Fried Clam and his fish and his fries. The other 5 adults were all happy with their meals. Some of us needed to go boxes while I had ordered Steak Tips with Mushrooms to go for dinner tonight. The staff was as pleasant as always. The ambience today for lunch was great, just shy of a full restaurant, it was great. As we were leaving around 1:15pm there was a few families in line. Everyone walked away full & Happy! Great Family Meal! A True recommendation from our family! Enjoy!

Visited on a cold December evening while waiting for a show next door. Real NE seafood atmosphere, our host was extremely friendly and knowledgeable as we ordered our dinner. I got the Mate’s Platter, supposedly the “lunch” size, but this plate was enormous! Scallops, shrimp, fried fish and clam strips, onion rings and coleslaw. It was literally piled about a foot high on my plate, I can’t imagine getting a bigger portion than this. Everything is hand-breaded and made with love, easily some of the best seafood I’ve had in CFL. My favorite was probably the fried shrimp but everything was great. Service was fast during dinner hours and we spent a good while just enjoying the atmosphere. We’re already making plans to go back – thanks BFH!

Good southern style seafood plus chicken. Plenty of parking. there’s also outside seating. good stuff. It’s a little pricey due to not seeing a lunch menu.

I’ve been there with friends, and was excited to come again with new people. I bragged and bragged about the food and service. Usually, when I came before, there was always a line around the corner outside. We were surprised that we walked right in!
    So….
I was disappointed in the food, and the prices! All the servers were wonderful except one who had a smart answer back when we he came to our table we asked for a refill and an extra small plate. His comment was to us was sarcastic, with tone. “ ARE YOU SURE, BEFORE I leave, there is nothing else?” (That is all we asked for.) We were all surprised. The rest of the servers were wonderful except him. We even handed one a big tip. She explained they all share. That’s too bad since she worked her tail off , and was so sweet!
The fish was ok. Salmon was dry. My friends had haddock, which was a nice size and good. The sides were just fair, and small.
I actually was not going to write a review as I don’t like to be negative, however, I kept getting asked to do a review so…
I realize a restaurant that has been in around for 50 years must be doing a lot good. Maybe this was an off day. I hope so!
