I recently visited Chroma Modern Bar, and overall, it was a great experience. The interior has a beautiful modern aesthetic, creating a stylish yet comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful—super friendly, attentive, and really helpful with everything.
The lamb sliders were a highlight—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fries were good but a bit too oily for my taste. The artichoke dish had great flavor, but I think it could use a little more cheese to balance out the thickness and dryness.
The one dish I didn’t enjoy was the green shakshuka. It lacked seasoning and flavor, and there were too many random greens that didn’t come together well.
Overall, Chroma Modern Bar has a lot to offer, and I’d definitely come back, especially for those lamb sliders!
Justin was our server.. felt like we knew him forever. He treated us like we were friends. Service was great company better everything we had was exceptional from the plating to the flavor. The happy hour drink seaway margarita!!! Delicious! I’m a person that does not like fruity drinks and this hit the spot. Try them out next time you’re in the lake Nona boxy Park area

This modern bar in Lake Nona is an impressive find! I arrived around 5 PM when it was fairly quiet and was greeted warmly by the hostess, who gave me the option to sit at a table or the bar. I opted for the bar, which offers full service and a happy hour menu.
The décor is attractive, though a bit on the common side for modern bars. However, the food more than makes up for it—it was absolutely exceptional. I started with the lamb slider, which, at $5 for one, isn’t the cheapest, but the flavor made it worth every penny. I also tried “The Frog,” a tequila-based cocktail with grapefruit and cinnamon. It was strong but light and sweet—a refreshing and creative drink.
The standout dish for me was the fried chicken coconut curry. It was insanely delicious—creamy, flavorful, and with a distinct curry taste that really shone through. The breading on the chicken was unique and not like your average fried chicken. It was a generous portion and could easily be shared with a side of rice or veggies. I also tried the tuna fried rice roll, which was good but more standard compared to the other dishes.
The fried chicken and the lamb slider were definite highlights, and I’d highly recommend them. This spot is a great addition to Lake Nona’s growing scene—an up-and-coming gem. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!
Chroma Modern Bar + Kitchen located inside the heart of Lake Nona (Boxi Park). Modern restaurant with different options for all tastes. We went for lunch around 12pm on a Thursday and there was no rush with plenty of seating. The weather was refreshing and cool so we decided to dine outside. Our server, Gloria greeted us and went over the menu with us. We started with the crab and artichoke dip, which was delicious, however was just under $20. Our main dish was the Parm to table, which was Fettuccine Alfredo with truffles for 2. We added a protein which was chicken. The fettuccine was good but nothing to rave about. The protein was a single chicken breast which was an almost $10 upcharge. Overall the experience was good and we will probably return. The one downside is the pricing. The whole bill was around $120 without tip. Check it out for yourself but just be mindful of the cost.
Chroma absolutely blew me away! I had the Parm to Table, and it was an experience as much as it was a meal. The concept is brilliant—Ryan prepared the noodles and then mixed them in a bowl of aged Parmesan that’s been developing flavor for weeks. The heat from the noodles allows the cheese to coat every bite perfectly, creating a rich, savory depth that’s just incredible. Then, just when I thought it couldn’t get better, he finished it off with truffle oil, which was like the icing on a cake.
The flavors were out of this world, and the attention to detail made the entire meal feel special. The ambiance and service only added to the experience. I’d go back in a heartbeat! If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers both amazing food and a memorable dining experience, Chroma is the place to go. Highly recommend!
