Celebrating our daughter’s twenty first birthday with family and first time patrons of this restaurant.
The atmosphere is inviting and vibrant. We were sat down almost immediately and greeted by our friendly server. Our group consisted of eight adults and two kids and we decided not to order appetizers believing our food would be out soon. Approximately thirty three minutes later our food finally arrived all at once.
I had the blackened salmon salad. The salad was fresh and delicious and the salmon was well cooked. My son ordered the ribs with side of mashed potatoes and pulled pork unfortunately, the pull pork was the only item on his plate that he could eat. The ribs were cold and the mashed potatoes tasted and looked like dehydrated potatoes.
My daughter (and B-Day girl) who normally eats everything on her plate, left half her chicken sandwich which was dried and looked overcooked and most of her fries that were soggy. The other members of our party enjoyed the cajun pasta and BBQ chicken platter. My wives soup of the day, corn, was delicious with a touch of spice. Our server was friendly and attentive and made up for the lack of quality of some of the food.
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant and I am not sure if I will return.
Really fun for a casual lunch! The Duck Nachos and Cheese Curds were delicious. The variety of beers is amazing. I had the Fruit Flight and I loved it but I want to go back and try some of the other flights.
Second time visiting City Works and again, the meal was fantastic, atmosphere fun and energized, and our waiter, Josh, was perfect! Attentive, friendly, on point with the meal selection and never left us waiting. I had the smoked meatloaf and my daughter had the braised short ribs… both out of this world!! Only complaint, would have loved more of the sauce on my meatloaf! Next time, I’ll get some extra on the side! Highly recommend! Sorry for the pics…we dove right in!
Really great environment. Kaitlin was very informative on beer selection and assisted with food choices. Fantastic energy. Food was fantastic recommend the Spicy Shrimp. Incredible flavor. Food choices are many and Kaitlin was on point with them all.
