Good ramen and karaage. The spicy miso ramen had a bit of a unique flavor to the broth that made it stand out. It was also cool to see some less common Japanese beer offerings. It was quiet and not crowded on a Tuesday night.
The regular Miso ramen had not enough miso taste in my opinion, but I’ll admit that I’m used to the miso ramen in Japan where I lived for a long time. And I was disappointed when the takoyaki turned out to be just frozen deep-fried. I’ll also say that it is just a matter of preference. What’s objective is that the prices for the all ramens are $2 higher than what is shown on the menus online. When I saw $12 I thought that’s a great price. The actual at $14 is just OK (even though that’s twice of what it would cost in Japan). The service was good, and the atmosphere/decor was truly somewhat authentic of many Japanese ramen restaurants.
We ordered pick up. I wanted to love this, but it wasn’t great. The broth of mine tasted like dirty water I couldn’t eat it! My husbands spicy ramen was definitely better. The gyoza was good and the crepe dessert was good. It was a cute location and restaurant but I definitely won’t be back. I expected more from the reviews!
My mother CRIED from how BLAND the RAMEN was. I cried alongside with her as we were socially forced to consume this boring ramen. Don’t be fooled by the charming smile and polite laughter by the waiters because that is the only good thing they have in this establishment. You can’t fool me. I know what you are. The toppings are the only good thing about this dish. The karage is alright, the gyoza sucks. The “broth” just tastes like hot water and soy sauce. Theyre trying to disguise that god awful soy sauce water with polite workers.
