Delicious Indian food with quick service! We loved the chicken tikki masala, lamb biryani, and garlic naan! Generous portions and reasonably priced.
Initial visit – arrived at 121, and we were rushed to order for a 2 pm closure. We ordered the samosas(average, not much flavor), flames special naan(average, not much paneer), and chili chicken(very tasty, plenty of sauce). Entries were very good. Butter chicken(tons of sauce, which was very flavorful), shrimp biryani(good but not much shrimp). Service was average. Small location with traditional decor.
There are a lot of things to like about Flames. First off, even while they had a party of like 20 people, they were still able to seat us immediately. Even though they had this large party, our food came out relatively quick. Tandoori chicken was flavorful and savory. Chicken tikka was also great. My favorite thing was their $9 salad, which could very well be a meal for some people. The decor is warm and inviting. Two people can easily get out of here for under $50 with tip included which is amazing in this day and age. The only downside might be parking as it is a bit tight and not many spots to choose from, but it did not impact us on this trip. I would definitely come here again. In fact, I might rate this as one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Tampa.
On a busy Saturday evening, I decided to have dinner at Flames Indian Cuisine. Although the restaurant was crowded, I didn’t mind waiting for a table as the wait was brief. I opted for the paneer, which turned out to be absolutely delightful. Alongside that, I ordered the lamb biryani, which was packed with flavors and tasted amazing. I specifically requested medium spice, and it was the ideal level of heat for my palate. Overall, I had a great time and I’m excited to come back again.
