I had a major pizza craving and stumbled upon this great spot. Our server, Christian, was super friendly and took care of us right away. He suggested the exact pizza I had my eye on. We also tried the bacon honey buns, which were incredibly soft and perfectly cooked. For the pizza, we went with the Pig and Pesto, and it was amazing! The crust was crispy and flavorful, and the toppings were fresh and delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Gotta get the bacon honey buns if you go. They are amazing. All of the food was fresh and great, but you will have to be patient. Since it’s so fresh it does take a while to make.
Disclaimer: I got my food delivered via Uber Eats so I understand that it is a different eating experience. I got the “MyPie Pepperoni Napoli Pizza” and “Breadstick Bites”. The pizza was pretty decent especially being from a chain, the pepperoni really stood out to me, it had good flavor and a little spice as pepperoni should. The sauce and cheese tasted good as well, not as bland as a lot of pizza places in Tampa. The Breadstick Bites at first look like Crazy Bread from Little Caesars but they are not. These were light, airy, not overly buttered or messy; I enjoyed the marinara they provided as well. I think these were better than the pizza. This is definitely a decent pizza joint, that I could see myself going back to and trying again.
This place is legit. I have found a pizza joint where I can finish happily finish every piece of crust on my plate.
A late flight meant a late dinner, and Flippers was close by. One of the most surprisingly good meals I’ve had in Tampa. On Sunday night they were still cranking out good quality pies. The flavor of the honey badger was unreal, and the crust is to die for. The toppings did end up slipping off a few of the pieces, but other than that it was a flawless meal. Pizza crust was the highlight, anything bread adjacent must be good at this place. The salad was delicious as well, the meats were all great and the dressing as well.
Instead of going to another sad, disappointing chain pizza place, try this first. We sat inside, but saw that they deliver as well. This will be my new go to for pizza in the Tampa area.
Delicious! Ordered a large pie with extra cheese, pepperoni and bacon and it was pretty good. Would not have been my choice. I like to add a lot more toppings than that so definitely look forward to coming back and trying out some other options. All in all though, the restaurant was really cool the way that they designed. It was nice and clean, and the customer was very good!
PS. They’re hiring right now. If you’ve ever had the dream of working at a pizzeria, this could be a good one. The employees seem to be having fun and doing a great job so I would give it a try!
