The food was OK the barbecue sauces were great. The baked beans tasted more like pork and beans. the pulled pork was good the smoke chicken could have used more seasoning . The cheese grits were very good and also the corn nuggets. The green beans were disapointingly overcooked.
**Review for Hank’s BBQ**
If you’re craving authentic Southern cuisine, look no further than Hank’s BBQ. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff set the tone for an incredible dining experience.
Let’s talk about the food — hands down, the *best* catfish I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and flaky on the inside. The gator bites? Absolutely out of this world! Tender, flavorful, and a must-try for anyone who wants to venture into Southern delicacies.
Other highlights include their baked beans with pulled pork, which hit just the right balance of smoky and sweet, and their juicy brisket that melts in your mouth. And don’t sleep on the hushpuppies — golden, fluffy, and the perfect sidekick to every dish.
Hank’s BBQ isn’t just a meal; it’s a celebration of Southern comfort food done right. It’s easily one of the best Southern restaurants I’ve ever visited. Can’t wait to go back!
I don’t know how this place received such high reviews….
When we arrived, the restaurant was empty and customer service was immediately poor. No greeting upon walking up. We asked if we could order, and the young woman responded with a “Yeah, what do you want.” She may have been having a bad day, so we tried to pay it no mind. I ordered a fountain drink. When I went to get my tea, I tasted a familiar flavor, so I knew to immediately check the ice maker. Nothing but mold. As a former restaurant manager, I hoped that these two issues wouldn’t signal that the food would be bad. The food was pretty terrible. We ordered two 3 meat platters and 2 bottled sodas for a total of $69.42. Ribs, chicken wings, and brisket. The ribs were decent, and the wings and brisket were inedible. The wings had been cooked so hard that I couldn’t chew the meat, and the brisket had an odd taste and color. Even the greens and macaroni and cheese were bad! I did something I never do….I discarded the food. Rather than deal with the customer service or try to request a re-make of the meal, I chose to waste food. This experience makes me sad because I’d heard good things about Hank’s, but I left disappointed.
Perfect catfish and hush puppies. Gator tail was tender and delicious too! All sides were great.
