This is a really good Greek restaurant. It is super busy so be prepared. We got here at 11 am and there are already customers. We ordered a Greek salad which was very tasty. There is potato underneath the salad, the dressing is a bit sour. The calamari was fantastic and the beef kabob was flavorful and tasty. The service was excellence. If you like Greek food try this place out and you will not be disappointed.
Location: Sponge Docks, Tarpon Springs
Ambiance: Stepping into Hellas is like taking a mini-vacation to Greece. The décor is charming with traditional touches, and the outdoor seating offers a lovely view of the bustling Sponge Docks.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere is lively and inviting. The feel of Greece. You can feel the energy of the docks, and the staff adds to the friendly, welcoming vibe.
Food: Hellas offers a wide selection of classic Greek dishes with a focus on fresh seafood. While the food was good and portions were okay it didn’t quite reach the “amazing” level I was hoping for.
Service: The service was the highlight of the experience! Our server was incredibly attentive, helpful with the menu, and made sure we had a fantastic time.
Prices: Be prepared to spend a bit more at Hellas. The prices are definitely on the higher end, which might be a factor for some. ($$$$)
Overall: Hellas is a decent choice for a taste of Greece in Tarpon Springs. The ambiance and service are excellent, but the food, while good, might not justify the higher price tag for everyone. If you’re looking for a lively atmosphere and a beautiful setting, Hellas is worth a visit.
I had an incredible dining experience at Halles ! From the first bite to the last, every dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was stunning, and the taste—simply unforgettable.
I especially loved the Lamb K-Bob, which was cooked to perfection and full of rich, balanced flavors. The service was just as impressive—attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole experience even better.
I’ll definitely be coming back!
Was greeted politely. The gentleman who escorted us to our table engaged in friendly conversation. Our server, Michael, was amazing. He was able to help me make a delicious choice that avoided my onion allergy. The food was beautifully presented and arrived spaced perfectly timed between courses.
The sponge docks have a pretty good bakery here at Hellas. The food is good here also, but a touch pricey. The bakery has unique things you won’t find at other bakeries. The cannoli pasta was the best thing we had today (white looking cake thing). The other items were also good, but the cannoli pasta was a hit. Very efficient way of handling the long line of customers.
