Went to the Brandon location with my granddaughter on a whim and so glad we did. Service was wonderful. Host greeted and sat us right away. They were busy but staff was quickly clearing tables. Servers were friendly and attentive and food was delicious. Loved that they left the coffee carafe on the table. Restaurant was super clean too. Going back with my husband tomorrow.
Great Breakfast Spot with Friendly Service
I had a great experience at Hines Breakfast House! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a nice spot to enjoy a meal. Our waitress, Christian, was super nice and provided excellent service. We ordered biscuits and gravy, fish and grits, and coffee. The food was not bad at all, and the coffee was absolutely perfect! Overall, I would definitely come again. Highly recommend for a good breakfast and friendly service!
Well run and staffed. Excellent service, great breakfast options. Reminds me of an old school breakfast diner, but with much friendlier, quicker service. Great find, will absolutely be back to this popular place.
First I’ll say this, I have never seen such a focused team of employees working hand in hand with each other. Efficient prompt actions by each of the people that work there made it one of the most enjoyable meals I have had over the last month.
It is loud as expected because of the size. There is always a line which tells you something about the business. It’s not due to the team screwing around talking in the kitchen.
One of the best breakfast. Eats I’ve had in a while. Lumberjack Bowl. Not for the faint of heart because I can eat! I took half of it home too.
Sensational full pot of coffee and a massive 16 oz cup!
Highly recommend trying this place out.
This spot has been open since 2022. I was quite eager to visit after I read the reviews, but when I learned the chef from Cafe Dufrain (one of my favorite lunchtime business places back in the day) helped the owners focus on their signature food theme, I was all in. The restaurant bought the place from the owners of Potbelly’s, a BBQ joint and diner. The new owners carried over some of that profile with thick bacon and potbelly in some dishes. THE FOOD: When I saw they had a catfish, eggs and grits plate, I had to order it. With extra cheese in the eggs and grits. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and the grits, creamy. The nicely seasoned fried catfish fillet was the right southern complement to a traditional breakfast dish. My wife had the plain pancakes and thick cooked bacon. She said the coffee-infused maple syrup (thanks chef!) made the dish. Coffee was quality for a diner style eatery. SERVICE: I’ve never seen a more efficient front-of-house table clearing operation as the one Himes has developed. Because of that, we only waited 10 minutes even though the place was packed at 9 am on a December Saturday. ATMOSPHERE: Pleasant and clean with personality of its own. It’s a noisy place with lots of young families and couples, so don’t expect to have intimate conversations here. Parking is minimal when busy, but if you’re creative enough you’ll find a spot. I would definitely go back, perhaps for lunch when the shrimp and grits is on the menu. Nice blend of country diner with some unanticipated surprises and large portions. I definitely would take out-of-town company here.
